Character Name: Kagamino Emiko
Senshi Name: Sailor Kali
Age: Seventeen
Birthdate: November 17th
Personality: Emiko isn't your typical teenager. Aside from being one of the Mirror Senshi, Emiko wasn't always as cold and calculating. However, since her senshi awakening...let's just say things have gotten complicated. It's not how it used to be and Emiko has taken note of the fact she's changed. Whether it's for the best or not, well, she hasn't quite decided that yet. Though she does kind of like this sense of being powerful and unique. This has given her a new reason to analyze and observe the world around her.
Naturally very secretive, it's not been an issue for Emiko to keep her other self a secret from the world. It's been in her nature to keep most things to herself. She's one of those girls that make you feel as if she's got some kind of greater plan for the world. Always thinking, always inquiring about various rumors, Emiko is an information gathering machine. She likes to know everything and anything about the world so that she may make well thought out and carefully planned moves. It is this calculating and thoughtful way of life that results in her carefully picking friends. She generally only makes 'friends' with those who can be of use to her.
Focused and perceptive, Miss Kagamino has no problem taking note of the smallest of details. Patient and calm, she is willing to wait for the time to be right to strike. Not one of those people who just 'wings it', Emiko always has a plan. With this in mind, she has earned herself a position in the top 10 students. With her position in school something well known, Emiko has created an outward persona to keep the masses from even getting the hint of what she truly is like.
To most anyone who encounters her, Emi comes off as being a quiet and helpful young woman. She appears to be more than happy to tutor or help you with a bit of homework and is quite often seen talking to one or two peers about lending notes out. This mask of kind and pleasant sweetness is just as fake as Splenda. She's far from being the sweet little angel people have come to perceive her as. It's all just a front to hide what she really thinks of everyone and is Emi's way of blending in.
Deep down, underneath the fake pleasantries and secretly mocking smiles is a truly hateful person. Emiko is someone who takes to the extremes. Though she projects a happy person on the outside, Kali has demented and twisted her on the inside. Emiko is a cruel, calculating and cunning creature. Scheme and plots to take what she feels she deserves are all common with Emiko. With jealousy and envy flowing from every pore on her body, Emiko's one motivation is to erase the Sol Senshi from the limelight. Her thinking is truly "Why should they be the good guys, be famous, and have power? What's so special about them". She has taken that thought process and has one goal in mind: Complete eradication of the Sol Senshi.
Physical Appearance: As most can guess, Emiko looks a bit younger than she should, which isn't all too bad. She's got a lean body, standing about 5'4" and has gentle feminine curves. One of those young women constantly described as "Kawai" or looks like she'd be perfect for the Lolita fashion. With short dark brown hair falling to her shoulders, she gives herself a rather edgy appearance by leaving two long strands of hair free to fall just past her waist. The dark brown color of her hair and her emerald green eyes make Emiko a pretty little thing.
While she personally doesn't see the appeal of Lolita fashion some of her clothing has that kind of feel to it. Known to wear lacy and pretty frocks with cute shoes, Emiko portrays herself as a sophisticated doll of sorts. For the most part she can be seen in light or fairly bright colors that tend to draw little attention to her. For the most part she keeps herself out of societies attention, though she still likes to appear cute and delicate. Whether that means she most wear a frilly dress or not all simply depends on her mood.
Strengths: Emiko is very perceptive and very inquisitive. Her notes in class are thorough. Being cunning she is able to swiftly provide what people expect from her, and fit the perception others have of her. Emiko has become very good at creating complex lies. Whether it is the lie she shows at school everyday or bluffing a senshi into dropping their guard.
Weaknesses: While she has very good strong points, she also has some obvious weaknesses. While her ability to focus intently on something is helpful it often can be harmful, leaving her open to attacks while she focus on her main goal. She could do with some work on paying attention to everything all at once, and tries to make up for that by planning for various attacks. However when it comes to Sailor Pluto, she tends to just zone in on her and even tends to stray away from thought out strategies. Mix that in with the fact that physically Emiko isn't very strong. She's of average strength and has weak ankles meaning a retreat in her heels is rough if done by foot.
Deams: Emiko herself has a couple dreams. As she loves and respects her grandfather alone, she wishes to be his partner in law. To become a divorce attorney for the wealthy and powerful is her ultimate goal. As a minor goal in life: she wishes to make Ayame's life living hell...though she and Haru attend a different school. However, as Kali she aims for the complete eradication of the Sol Senshi who have an entire nation that adores and loves them.
Habits: Prone to drumming her fingers against her cheek, and swaying her foot a little while she sits are all signs of Emiko's thought process. If she is upset, frustrated or even just slightly miffed she will pace back and forth constantly. Depending on how frustrated she may be results in how fast she paces. When stumped, and I mean really stumped, Emiko is known to gently tug or braid the longer strands of her hair. As Sailor Kali, Emiko tends to tap her staff against her shoulder while sitting as a means to taunt her enemy or think. Most of the time however she leans against Chronos' Pendulum and sighs as a sign of true boredom.
Background:
Emiko was born to a couple who had been arranged for marriage by their attorney fathers. Yoshe Meiko, Emiko's mother, had been ver hesitant about getting married and even put up a bit of a fit before giving in to her father's demands. Kagamino Akio didn't seem to mind either way, and allowed his father to handle most of the troublesome details. Too focused on his career as a doctor, Akio never treated Meiko as anything more than a friend. Unless the two felt a little frisky, which would be how Emiko was born. She was born to a couple that felt no love for one another, and the child suffered from it. Meiko tended to ignore the wails of the infant while Akio was hardly ever home anyways. As time went on, and Emiko got older, nothing changed. Not three years after her birth, Emiko's parents divorced, neither wanting custody to their lonesome child. Kagamino Ryu, Akio's father and Emiko's grandfather, stepped up to the plate and took the child under his wing.
Raised to be a young lady in and lower upper class house, Emiko was taught manners from her Grandfather himself (when he was home). Giving the child enough love to make up for her parents, Emiko was treated like Ryu's little princess. Though he didn't spoil her constantly, he did tend to shower her with love and affection. In this setting, Emiko grew to be what most people know her as: a helpful, sweet and elegant young woman. That was the only Emiko there ever for a long time. After the divorce of her parents, she never saw them again. However, she bared them no grudges and showed no signs of envy towards those who had their parents to care for them. She was happy with her grandfather, the only person who treated her like she mattered.
When she entered high school, however, things changed. For three years Emiko had been best friends with a young man named Haru had done everything together, an unstoppable friendship that nothing could destroy. Emiko had even begun to crush on young Haru when they met Ayame, a pretty little thing who swiftly fell into Emiko's good graces. However, as soon as Ayame began to date Haru she tossed Emiko aside. It had been Ayame's plan to get with Haru from the start, using Emiko all along. This horrible experience triggered something inside Emiko to awaken, Sailor Kali - who had been laying dormant since the death of the senshi. Though outwardly she stayed the same, on the inside Emiko shifted.
Fits of rage caused Emiko to destroy many of her things in her room, and caused her Grandfather to worry. However, as time passed she returned to normal. She acted as she always did showing her love to only her grandfather, who had always loved and trusted her. While she appeared to be the same Emiko as always, her mind had twisted and filled with hatred and rage. Jealousy and envy took control of her thoughts. At first it was only pointed towards Ayame, the girl who stole her first and only love. But then it grew. It spread and spread until she was envious of anyone whose parents loved them, to anyone who was loved by more than just one person.
When Sailor Kali first appeared, Emiko had been in a particularly bad mood. Rage and Jealous for all those who had their parents and family show up at the Spring Festival caused Emiko to head home early. She freaked out, screaming and throwing things in the secrecy of her room. In a flash of a moment, as far as she knew, everything changed. Confused and baffled, Emiko took some time to get used to what she could do and who she was. When it all sunken, when she had figured out what to do with herself, Emiko was more than pleased with the idea of having a power that could help her ease the envy, pain, and hatred for the rest of the world.
The Senshi Side of Life
Elemental Power: Time
Uniform Description: Emiko has the typical mirror senshi fuku on. Her bodice is a solid black piece of fabric, as are her gloves. The bands around her elbows are dark red in color, and match both her front and back bow. Her shoes come to her knees, black in color, with dark red laces and wedge heals. Her skirt and collar are not the sold black that Sailor Pluto wears but are a couple shades lighter in color. Her tiara is silver and all jewelry she wears is an even dark shade of red the bows. Carried with her is Chronos' Pendulum, a silver staff. At the top a Dark red energy burns like a flame, arcane runes gyrating around this energy.
Attack Name: Chrono Time Flash
Description of Attack: "Chrono," calls Sailor Kali, holding her staff above her head. Swirling it a couple times, reminding one of a helicopter for a brief second, she gets the runes around the Chrono flame to spin faster and faster. A Red flow begins to form around her body. "Time Flash!" Sailor Kali brings the staff down as if she were holding some large gun and flashes forward several yards, bringing her within striking distance of her enemy. If caught in her path it is common for targets to get knocked back, if you are her main focus you will get a brief moment to attack before she brings the Pendulum down upon you. This attack has no real additional affect one people, however it does deal some direct physical damage and also gives Kali a swift escape if need be.

Alert, emerald eyes skim the lines and lines of text. Her pencil, hovering a centimeter above the notebook slowly touches down, scribbling some notes onto the crisp white sheets. The teachers voice in the background drones on and on, reading from the book. Emiko, multi-tasking as always, always her eyes to dart up to the teacher at the front behind their podium. The light circles beneath the teacher's brown eyes, covered with a bit of cover-up suggests they hadn't slept very well the night before. Though she'd made an effort to fix the frizz of her hair, Emiko could tell the sensei had a rough start.
A quick glance around the room and she could already count four students slipping into a light sleep. Five or six others were taking notes, two girls in the back were doing their make-up (for probably the third time this period) and one young man was snoring obnoxiously in the back corner. Smirking a little, Emiko turned back to her work. Swiftly catching up to the teacher, the young high school student focused once more on school work and note taking. Those bright and alert eyes would shift from the text book, to the teacher, down to the note book and every now and then to the clock for a time check.
As the block came to an end, Emiko continued her work. Diligently scribbling and listening, she'd keep her grades in the top ten. The top three was her aim, however there was a good portion of people who had goals like her. Well, not entirely. Emiko had something they didn't. She was a senshi, one who could control the ebb and flow of time itself. Powerful and in control, Sailor Kali was what made Emiko much more than most of the kids surrounding her.
As her eyes flicked to the clock, she heard the end bell. Finish her last sentence, she flipped the light blue notebook closed, tucking her mechanical pencil into a simple black case. Stretching her arms up over her head, she heard the halls filled with chattering youths, a startled snort of the sleeping boy and a couple of girls giggling at his shock. Another day in high school. Emiko stood, tucking her work into the desk before gently placed a beautifully decorated black, wooden, bento on the top of her desk. Today, like any other, would be filled with questions and people trying to get close to her. Contestant Number One, Step right up! Are you of any use? She thought, a sweet smiling stretching her lips as the once slumbering boy wandered over for class notes.
