“Time to SPRING into action!”
» PLEASE READ: Play Change Rule & Time Stamping
In order to allow more flexibility for players to progress at their own pace, there will now be a new play-style rule in effect that allows you to post in three (3) different threads with the same character simultaneously. This means your character can be at the mall on one day, in school the next, and battling a monster a week later all at the same time within the month.
However, this means that players need to be responsible for “Time Stamping” the threads so you can keep tabs on making sure the character isn’t in two different spots at the same time. Please heed this new rule carefully!
On the first post of each thread, the person posting FIRST must add the time stamp of when the scene is taking place. It should look something like this:
Day: March 5
Time: 4:25 pm OR Mid Afternoon
Either “time” is acceptable, but if you’re going to go the generic route make sure to be as specific as possible: Dawn, Early Morning, Mid Morning, Early Afternoon, Mid Afternoon, Early Evening, Sunset, Dusk, Night, Late Night, Midnight Hours. All of these are considered acceptable terms and this helps in the event you’re doing a back-to-back set of threads where you’re not certain the time frame that the first scene is going to require before you start the next.
Keep in mind that only the FIRST post needs to have this time stamp for the entire thread. The subject line does NOT need to have it but you are more than welcome to place it in if you want for faster referencing. But the first post NEEDS to have it inside the thread regardless if the subject line has a time stamp as well.
This new rule takes affect as of TODAY (April 1st)! Please make any adjustments to any new or recent April threads to reflect this new posting amendment.
MARCH Threads EXTENDED until Saturday, April 10th! You may still send in your completed objectives for MARCH until that time!
» Administration Vacation April 13th – April 20th
Just a heads up to let everyone know that I will be away on vacation from Tuesday April 13th until Tuesday, April 20th. I will be bringing my laptop and MAY have internet connection for posting and answering questions, however ALL administrative activities will be put on hold until I return.
» Character / Player / Thread of the Month
Last month we asked people what character had the best attack in the cast so far. There was a tie, so the administration cast in their own vote to break it based on the ones that were vying for top spot.
The winner for Character of the Month is Ash with Sailor Pallas’ Aegis Orb Barrage attack!
Congratulations Ash! You will be receiving 10 Progression Points and Sailor Pallas is our Character of the Month!
This month the administration decided to take control over who would be elected Player of the Month by reviewing aspects of thread activities as well as character scenarios that put a smile on our faces.
The winner for Player of the Month is Riyna portraying Sailor Venus and the civilian Shinkirou! Congratulations, you will also be receiving 10 Progression Points for your efforts!
This month we were hilarious surprised with a comedic little thread that made us laugh hysterically when it played out. So this month we have a Thread of the Month straight from the minds of Bekuki and Riyna with “Doki Doki Panic”! What happens when cute lil’ Kouin gets a shot of chocolate spicy love in front of Shinkirou? Read it to find out for yourselves!
Congratulations ladies, you have both earned 10 Progression Points for this awesome little thread!
Next Month’s Votes:
1.) If you could take control of any OTHER player’s character, which one would you choose?
2.) If your main character got transformed into a zoo animal, what would it be and why?
PM the Administration account with your answers, and put in the subject line: APRIL VOTING if you can makes it easy on my eyes. We ask that you please take some time and effort to vote for people in these monthly accolades. Who knows, perhaps you might be the next winner!
Good luck everyone!
» “Objective Suggestion” Progression Points
I want to give a shout-out of thanks to Julia, Mike and Shuu who submitted new objective ideas for us to use in the bag of random wonders! All of you will be receiving 20 Progression Points toward your totals!
Thank you for your suggestions, they are greatly appreciated!
» Random Event Rewards: MARCH – Doki Doki White Day
The month of March was the White Day event where a little shop called Doki Doki Darling was selling crazy items with “loving” side effects. The following players have been allocated Progression Points based on their involvement and level of creativity with the zany event:
Bekuki (Kouin): 20 – What a hilarious twist!
Elvy (Croix): 10 – I’m sure that’ll be a kiss worth remembering!
Julia (Smooth Shocker): 20 – A blender with a love fetish for its master…priceless!
Lily (Tsurara): 10 – This seems to have scarred the poor girl tremendously!
Riyna (Shinkirou): 20 – Poor Shinkirou didn’t know what hit him!
If we have missed any others that were participating in the White Day event please PM the Administration team with a link to the thread we missed. Great job guys!
» Completed Objectives: FEBRUARY & MARCH
Here are the objectives that were completed and submitted for February and March. Please keep in mind that threads for March have been extended until April 10th due to spring breaks and finals. Please turn in your completed objectives for March ASAP once you finish the threads.
FEBRUARY
Riyna: 15 Role-play a scenario that takes place in the mall.
Julia: 20 Create a thread in which something unusually unfortunate happens to your character's plans or just puts a damper on their day by the end of it.
Berami: 10 Create a thread with Mike.
Haylee: 10 Role-play a scenario at Café Amigo.
MARCH
Riyna: 10 Role-play a scenario at the library.
Rune: 15 Role-play a scenario that takes place in the mall.
Shuu: 10 Start a thread with Berami.
Berami: 15 Create a situation that allows you to elaborate on some form of established relations with another character.
Since this is the first time that Progression Points have been awarded allow me to explain a little on how a value is given to each. Objectives come with automatic base values to them, a lot of them ranging from 5 – 20 based on difficulty. Usually the more vague or generic they are, the easier they are, and thus have a smaller base value amount. The more specific an objective is the higher the base value because it requires more creative effort on your part to find a way to complete the exercise within plausible means. From there we look at all of the outside things like how many other characters got involved, what kind of scenarios were designed, and what level of unique spins you put on the objective itself. As you can see many different factors can bump up the scores.
We ask that players always try and challenge themselves but within reasonable limits. You don’t always have to complete these objectives each month if you don’t feel up to the task. And this is not a race or a contest to see who can do the most difficult ones with the most amounts of people (unless one specifically asks you to and you feel up to the challenge). You should never feel burnt or stressed out with these objectives, they’re designed to be writing ideas during times that you feel like you don’t know what to do next. Obviously we award Progression Points for those who DO complete these tasks, but there are always other ways to earn points and as long as you’re participating in the game and having a good time that is what’s most important to us!
As a little notice to all players, only submit your COMPLETED objectives once the thread itself is finished.
MARCH Threads EXTENDED until Saturday, April 10th! You may still send in your completed objectives for MARCH until that time!
» Random Event: APRIL – Easter Egg Hunt
This month we don’t have an in-game random event. However, I’ve put together a little Easter Egg hunt for you guys as a mini-game. Hidden throughout the website and forums are four (4) Easter Eggs. Each egg will lead you to a secret code word. Find all of the cord words; assemble it into the correct secret sentence and PM the Administration account with the correct message and that will put your name into a drawing to win 25 Progression Points and a little administrative gift!
Everyone who submits the correct message will automatically earn 5 Progression Points for participating. Winning is just icing on the cake! The drawing will be done on Saturday, April 24th.
Please do not cheat and post the secret message in public or tell other players what it is or where the eggs are. Let them find them out for themselves.
The Easter Eggs will be up and ready for hunting by Friday, April 2nd!
Good luck and have fun!
» NEW SUB-FORUM: Artist’s Corner – Iron Sketch Artist
Shattered Kingdom was well known back in previous incarnations as being a stronghold of fantastic artwork that celebrated the game by its players! In order to foster that encouragement once more, the administrative team had implemented a new monthly section in the newly created ARTIST’S CORNER of the forums!
Post your artwork freely in this section, submit images to be added to the gallery, and participate in our new monthly activity: Iron Sketch Artist
Every month the administration team will post an artistic request upon which you have all month to submit an entry that will be added to the galleries! All participants that enter a piece will receive 25 Progression Points! This is not a contest; it’s simply a submit-and-win activity!
So bust out those pencils, pens, and Wacom Tablets once again! Shattered Kingdom wants your art! Om nom nom!
~~~~~~~
All Progression Points will be tallied up and updated within the next day or two. Players who have enough Progression Points to purchase extra character spaces may do so after the new amounts have been posted.
ACTIVITY CHECKS will be posted either very late tonight or sometime tomorrow.
The month of APRIL has officially begun!
Luv & Easter Eggs,
-The Administration
