We've lost a lot--But we've got much more
If you need comfort--That's what we're here for
And if the ground shall crumble--And the stars shall fall
I will hold your hand--And we'll both stand tall
Character Name: Unknown
Shitennou / Knight Name: Star Sworn Knight Zelus
Gender: female
Age: 22
Birthdate: March 26
Personality: When it comes to matters of state, Zelus is all about duty. She was chosen to guard and advice the royal family to the best of her ability, and she intended to do so. She feels strongly that a person should do the best they can in all endeavors. She keeps everything formal when she is doing her job as a Star Sworn Knight, and keeps herself detached from anything but the business at hand. Although, she cannot remember the time before she became a Star Sworn Knight, she is certain that her love for the royal family and what they believe in was so strong, that it was worth loosing all her memories in order to serve them to her highest potential. With no past memories to cloud her judgement.
She has followed the King himself and done her best to help him and protect him. She takes great pride in herself and her importance to the royal family, and the kingdom as a whole.
Morpheus, the other Star Sworn Knight to the King, has the ability to follow the King to Elysion. A gift that she herself was not given. And although this has made her slightly jealous of her ally, she does not let it show. Each of them has their duty, and she understands that that is part of Morpheus's. To keep herself from growing bitter of this situation however, she uses the time that they are away to help the other members of the royal family. If she finds they are not in need of her assistance, then she takes this as an opportunity to people watch.
This is her hobby. She will use the Lunar Pin to exit the Crystal Palace and mingle amongst others in the kingdom. She watches how the people of the kingdom interact with each other, listens to their stories, watch their movements and mannerisms, and learn what it is they all think of current affairs within their world. She has a great fascination with people and how they work. This is more than likely why she was the best candidate as the user of the Lunar Pin. Her photographic memory and her understanding of humans makes it nearly impossible to realize that she is not the person she is projecting through the magical object.
There are precious few who see the person hidden inside the Knight. The King and Morpheus are really the only two who know her as Zel. When it is time to rest from her duties as a Star Sworn Knight, she is a much warmer person with an obvious need to try understand all that is around her. She has great curiosity in many things, as she wishes to gain as much knowledge as she can.
Her relations with the other Star Sworn Knights are slightly more formal than they are with the King and Morpheus, but still quite friendly. She finds more joy going out and hiding amongst the people of the kingdom, then spending a lot of time around the castle and not working for or with the King.
Physical Appearance: Zelus is a girl of average height. She is strongly build as she keeps in shape to be the best fighter she can be. She has long purple hair which she keeps in a loose big braid over her left shoulder. In her hair she wears a stark white set of three thin headbands. These are adorned with the Lunar Pin, and a few crystal stars, which would catch the light on occasion.
Zelus stands with confidence, keeping an air of authority around herself, and accepts only the greatest respect, for herself and those around her.
When it comes to style, Zelus rarely takes the opportunity to show it. She usually is seen in her Star Sworn Knight uniform. When training, she wears practical clothing to do so. However, if the time ever came up for her to do herself up, she would clean up quite nicely. Her style has always been more on the simple and practical side rather than anything extravagant.
Strengths: Photographic Memory -- People Person -- A Big Understanding of People
Weaknesses: Over Sympathetic -- Prideful -- Tends To Over-Analysis Things
Dreams: To serve the King to the best of her ability. To continue to learn, so as to be useful not just physically but mentally as well. A personal goal that she hopes to master, is a way to make the Lunar Pin work for her when she has not interacted with the person she is trying to project.
Habits: All habits present themselves when Zelus is not doing her duties as a Star Sworn Knight. She finds it better to show little emotion as a way to remain detached from a situation she may encounter while protecting and advising the King. However, during her down time, she will at times stick her tongue out playfully as a way of showing sympathy or her happiness in whatever the situation is presenting. She will also bite her bottom lip when she is nervous, anxious, or thinking particularly hard about something.
Background: Zel knows nothing of her past. She has only known being a Star Sworn Knight for the King. She has never been bothered with this, as she knows it was a choice she made when she took her place among the guard. Surely, she had her reasons. Watching others in the Moon Kingdom has always occupied her enough to never wonder about her own past. She is happy to follow the royal family without her past memories there to cloud her decisions or emotions. However, when the Senshi start to appear once more, and her position is compromised, this may all change, and she may start wondering about her past. The thought just has never occured to her to worry about the circumstances leading up to her being a Star Sworn Knight.
Because Zelus loves people, and has such a great curiosity when it comes to pretty much everything, she tends to like to talk. Talking is a way for her to try and figure out and explore what is she is thinking. The only people she trusts enough to speak her thoughts to are King Helios and Morpheus. Zelus does not like to burden the King with her ramblings, and because Morpheus tends to keep to herself, this at times can present problems. Instead of letting Morpheus go off to be alone, if she feels the need to converse with someone, she tends to just talk to her anyway. She has respect for her comrade, and has faith, that if she truly needed any help or guidance that she would be there for her.
For the most part, Zel doesn't open up much, to even the other Star Sworn Knights. Because of her lack of past, she doesn't really see a reason to open up to people. There isn't much to open up about. As time goes on, and as the Senshi become a more prominent threat to her position within the castle, she will find more reasons to rely on the other Star Sworn Knights, as much as the royal family and Morpheus.
Of Whom I Serve
Residing Power: By use of the Lunar Pin she can transform herself into any individual she has interacted with.
Uniform Description: Pending.
Attack Name: To use the Lunar Pin, she presses it and thinks of the person she would like to transform into and says the words "Mind's Eye to Light" . To change back to her own appearance, she merely has to press the pin once more.
Description of Attack: The Lunar Pin uses the power of mind to create the transformations. What the people see when it's power is in use, is not an actual transformation as much as a projection of one. Zelus's photographic memory of people she has met and talked to makes the projection more accurate than it would be of someone who has a hard time remembering details. This is also why, when Zelus has not met the person she is trying to be face to face to experience their mannerisms, features, or vocalizations... her disguise tends to falter and change as her mind attempts to change and fill in the parts of the person she is envisioning.

Zelus breathed in deeply. The doors before her were still closed, and for this, she was thankful. She stood in behind them, studying their markings. The signs of the orbital planets were carved into the marble from which the door was made. She studied each of them, carefully, while she waited, vainly trying to attempt to make time go a little bit faster.
Her stomach was in knots, and she bit her lower lip in anticipation. On the other side of this door lay the beginning of the rest of her life. She delicately touched the door, as if to gain some insight at what waited in her future. The smooth carvings were cool to the touch.
It had not been long ago that she had awoken within the Crystal Palace with no memory of who she was or how she had gotten there. At first, fear had taken hold of her. But it was not long before she had been informed of her decision to become a Star Sworn Knight of King Helios. Even now, she swelled with pride at the thought. All of her questions had been answered.
Why did she have no memories? She had choosen to shed all she knew of her past as a way to protect her family, her friends, and even the royal family themselves. Baggage from the past can cloud one's mind to the task that needs to be done now. She needed as unbiased an opinion as she could have in order to help the King.
What was her name? Her name before this moment was irrelevant. Now, she would be known as Zelus. She had rolled the name over her tongue a few times, instantly liking it.
What were her duties? Before she had forgotten her past, she had sworn to protect the King with her life. She was to be there for him, not only as a bodyguard, but as someone for him to confide in. She had been chosen for these duties because they had felt that she was one of the few talented enough to do so. At this she smiled, realizing, that all this was a great honor, one she was sure she had worked hard for, even if she could not remember it.
And now, here she was. Once the doors opened, she would be brought forward, to the royal family. She would be meeting King Helios, face to face, for the first time, and she could do little to contain her excitement.
"They are ready for you now," said the guard to her left. Zelus looked at the girl before her, not sure how she would know. Giving her a nod that she was ready, Zelus immediately straightened her back and held her head high. She wanted herself to be a vision of confidence and duty when the King first saw her. She stepped forward purposefully, as the door slowly began to open.
