Occupation: None. He's currently a part time college student though.
Personality: At a first glance, Shinkirou appears to be a friendly, nice guy, headstrong, outgoing and easy to talk to. But this is just a lie, a mask so to speak. Underneath this mask, he is first and foremost, just plain mean--somewhat like a queen bee who reels people in with niceness just to tear them down later. He's also impulsive, snarky, and tends to not think ahead. He flits from situation to situation with ease and isn't very responsible, cheerily using college as an excuse to not get a real job or even get his own place. He flirts with anything that moves, and changes girlfriends (and even boyfriends from time to time) faster than one changes underwear. He's self-centered and incredibly selfish--and he *knows* it. He lies chronically as well, just to see how far he can get away with it.
His nice guy persona seems to slip around people with authority, or people who just irritate him or refuse to succumb to his charms--he loves to instigate fights and push people's buttons, especially when he's feeling vindictive about someone who's wronged him. While he still seems friendly when this happens, it's clear he's doing it to screw with other people--and he'll feign shock when called out on it.
Although he's outgoing, however, Shinkirou has never really been close to people--not since he was younger, and the circumstances that surround the reason he doesn't get close to anyone are somewhat shrouded in mystery. There are times where he comes off smarter than usual, possibly showing that he's more than meets the eye, but it's difficult to say. He is aware of the way he comes off to others, and his jerktastic nature comes from purposefully trying to push people away.
Physical Appearance: Shinkirou stands solidly at 6' 1", broad shouldered and built somewhat like an American football player. His skin has a very slight but distinct tan, and his hair, which is surprisingly well taken care of, is a dark red shade, slightly shaggy looking. His eyes are a sharp blue shade, and occasionally he wears reading glasses due to his impaired vision. He has more scars than he can count from antagonizing Yuki--in particular, his nose looks like it's been broken quite a few times and looks a little crooked as a result. If one looks carefully, Shinkirou actually walks with a bit of a limp due to this.
Regarding clothing, Shinkirou is a bit on the choosy side, preferring his clothing to be of a high quality--and he certainly hates getting dirty. He seems to like jeans and dresses in dark colors, but won't say no to more "mature" business styled attire. He likes clothes in whites and blacks, with another color thrown in to not look so monochromatic.
Strengths: Charismatic, good eye for colors, can get along with just about anyone, headstrong, good at lying
Weaknesses: More petty than a teenage girl, lies more than he should, selfish, never knows when he's in too far, doesn't know when to give up
Dreams: Shinkirou isn't sure what his dream is. Perhaps a short-term dream is for Yuki to forgive him--but that requires him to get over himself and apologize first.
Habits: Shinkirou loves to push people's buttons when he feels they've wronged him. In particular, he loves to bother Yuki--it's almost as if he has taken the mantle of being the thorn in Yuki's side. This has led to him getting beaten up by the other man more times than Shinkirou can count--and he never seems to learn any better. Shinkirou also has the habit of cracking his knuckles any time he gets the chance, and taps his foot when he gets impatient.
Background: Shinkirou has lived a normal middle-class life, if a little spoiled due to his natural talent of getting people to do things for him. In fact, he's grown up never really dealing with the consequences--even his run-ins with the law, usually consisting of petty thefts, were taken care of due to his father's status as chief of police. This changed when Shinkirou was in middle school, however. He and Yuki, who had been friends since primary school, got into a heated argument, Shinkirou secretly jealous of the affection Yuki had for Kei. Their friendship began to crumble and the two friends refused to talk to one another. Kei, ever the peacemaker, attempted to get them to reconsole their differences, but when Shinkirou realized his feelings about Yuki would be coming out into the open, he lashed out in fear and panic, creating an even more heated argument--and in the process, Shinkirou's actions resulted in the accident in which Kei was put into a coma.
The boy was crushed by this, and even as his family attempted to run damage control, nothing could be salvaged from it. Yuki hated him, Kei was hospitalized with no signs of waking, he'd never been all that close to Meido, and Oishii was revealed to be using his status to save his son. His father's reputation was ruined and he was fired due to his misuse of power, and in retaliation, the man spread vicious rumors about Yuki Chuushin. Shinkirou begged his father to stop, as it had not been Yuki's fault, but when Oishii refused to relent, Shinkirou found himself also spreading awful lies about Yuki. And as the months passed, he began to believe them, denying the awful truth that it had been his fault and hiding it in a deep, dark place in the back of his mind. Shinkirou's family began to fray at the edges, causing an already distant family to get even farther away, and while the family was still together, it became increasinly obvious there was no family love anymore. As the years passed, Shinkirou grew more and more resentful of Yuki--and created an outgoing mask so no one would see the hateful person he was turning into.
After high school, Shinkirou was accepted into Crystal Tokyo University and attends there--he had a rocky start where he skipped a lot of classes due to pure laziness, but after getting chewed out by the school and his family, he's been forced to go to class regularly, or else he risks getting kicked out of his parents' house. He's a friend (if you could call him that) to Kaede Hayashi, having met her in China Town once and deciding she was a little interesting. He also likes flirting with Kyoutei, Yuki's girlfriend, from time to time--usually when Yuki ISN'T around though.

Roleplaying Sample: Shinkirou's day had started out normally.
Then he chanced upon information that Yuki had a girlfriend.
After laughing for a good few minutes straight, the redhead had, in horror, learned it was true. His surprise had turned into planning, however, and he grinned deviously. Hmmm. I suppose he does need a method of congratulations... he thought as he headed into a convenience store nearby, whistling a little tune.

"Oiii, Yuki-chan~" Shinkirou said sometime later, waltzing into the ramen shop with ease, a small plastic bag in hand. He ignored the glares from the other workers, smirking and heading over in Yuki's direction. "Heard you landed yourself a girlfriend. Good for you, man." he said cheerfully, just before he reached into the plastic bag and flung a box of condoms at Yuki's head.
"Consider this a visit from the condom fairy." he said quietly with a small chuckle, winking, "Don't use them all at once now~"
