READY STEADY GIVE ME GOOD LUCK
READY STEADY NEVER LOOK BACK
LET'S GET STARTED READY STEADY GO
“Ready, Steady, Go!” by L'arc~en~ciel
Character Name: Shun Takenaka
Shitennou Name: Cado
Age: 16
Birthdate: April 13
Personality:
Shun is a very lovable guy, open about his emotions and ambitions. A quick word to define him would be an optimist. He is an adventurous youth, looking for something to explore. He is energetic and often doesn't run out of energy. He's sometimes referred to as an energy vampire. He is a courageous person, willing to stand up for what he believes in. Shun is usually confident in what he does. Even if someone gives him negative feedback, he is able to respond happily. He is somewhat dynamic, usually over analyzing things and thinking too hard about simple comments. He often wants to make everything complicated for the sheer joy of trying to figure it out. The funniest thing about this is that Shun thinks he is much smarter than he really is. Shun's other talents include a good memory and being able to function off of just four hours of sleep. Although optimistic and friendly, he can be rather selfish about things. He is specifically selfish about possessions, saying what's his is his and that others should stay away from it. He has a short temper and often flares up about the most silly of things. Luckily, he can quickly recover from outbursts. He is impulsive, often doing something he should not, even when told not to. His impulsiveness adds to his daredevil tendencies in liking to take risks. This boy doesn't have much common sense. Shun's last fault is being impatient. He hates to wait for things when he knows that if he did it, it would be much faster.
Shun is often described as a friendly person. He makes friends with people fast, but really only bonds with those who have similar interests as he. He's sort of jumpy and bubbly when happy. When depressed, he gets quiet and practically invisible. If he's angry, he has the tendency to fly into a physical rage. He often ends up breaking or continuously punching something until he feels better. Shun is a big dreamer and often takes on projects. Although, to him, everything is a project. He likes to experiment with things and find the different outcomes. Around people, he loves to talk and is very “buddy-buddy”. He's also not one to badmouth people or double cross those he likes. He will often call people out if they are doing this. He's an honest person and isn't inclined to hold back his feelings. This sometimes tends to make him a social misfit, since he can't communicate properly all the time. At the points when you really shouldn't say anything, Shun says something.
As a Shittenou, Shun is just a bit different. He is less hyper than normal, but is still rather risky and untactful. Although silly, Shun knows when to shut up and get in the game. He finds it fun to treat his opponent as though they aren’t any challenge, but knows when to get serious. He doesn’t like to take orders, but knows when to do as he’s told. He may say he doesn’t follow orders, but if he is commanded by another Shittenou higher than him, he obeys without question. Shun takes his job seriously, even if he comes off comical.
Physical Appearance:
Shun stands at five foot eleven inches with a lean athletic build. His upper arms and calves are rather muscular, along with his abs. The rest of his body is rather average, making himself look skinny. He weighs one hundred and forty six pounds. Shun is rather muscular due to running track and participating in the high jump. His arms are particularly muscled from taking kickboxing since he was twelve. Although he doesn't participate in either activity much anymore, he usually works out a few times a week to maintain his build. His skin is a deeply tanned Caucasian, which makes him stick out in a crowd. His eyes are aquamarine and always have a sparkle to them.
Shun's hair is rather a mess most days, because he's a bit careless about these things. His hair thick, but shiny, and the most unusual color. His hair is a light orange. It is streaked with an even lighter orange. You can mostly see the highlights in the light. His hair has a shaggy cut and goes to just past his shoulder blades. His bangs are parted to the left, but you often can't tell when he doesn't take the time to style it. Unstyled, his bangs are cut in an uneven fashion and hang down to his nose, covering most of his eyes. Usually, Shun wears his hair in a small ponytail, making his hair seem shorter and pulling most of the bangs from his face.
The boy has quite a few piercings and a rather strange style. Shun has his ears pierced four times on the left and five times on the right. He usually wears two hoops and two studs on each ear; the hoops in silver and the studs are emeralds. The last earring on his right ear is a helix, of which he wears a neon blue hoop. Meanwhile, Shun's style can be explained as discolored or even tacky. Shun has the habit of wearing colors that either do not match or even clash. He does the same thing with patterns. On some days, he will match, but he often likes to do the opposite and doesn't. He loves to wear tank tops or muscle shirts with vests over them and has an affinity for very baggy pants and skinny jeans. He often wears Converse for shoes. Although strange in his style, when it comes to athletics, he will wear a simple track suit in blue and running shoes. Shun adores jewelry, mostly earrings and necklaces. He has a wide array of jewelry in colors and styles. He usually wears more than one necklace a day and tries not to wear the same ones in a week.
Strengths: Adventurous, lots of energy, always confident, very enthusiastic, good memory, and can function on barely any sleep
Weaknesses: Very messy, quick-tempered, impulsive, impatient, thinks he's smarter than he really is, and takes chances too often
Dreams: To preform a successful transmutation of lead to gold. In the long term, he hopes to travel the world and major in chemistry in college.
Habits: He constantly tries to do things outrageous when it's common sense not to. He wears obnoxious or clashing colors often. Also, if he is in an awkward silence, he likes to say “dot dot dot”.
Background:
Born in the countryside, Shun Takenaka grew up in a family of seven, with two parents, an older brother and sister, and a younger brother and sister. He was the middle child and didn't expect much special treatment. As a young child, he was looked after by his older sister and brother. His elder sister found it fun to dress him in drag, which may be the cause of why Shun's appearance is so confusing.
When he was about ten, he took interest in running track at school. He was very good at it and enjoyed the feel of running. When he was twelve, he also joined the high jump. Both of these sports were a main factor of his life in junior high and pretty much all he focused on. He spent his days working out and practicing, pretty much leaving homework in a forgotten place. This all changed when he stepped into his science class in eighth grade. Intrigued by chemistry, Shun gave up track and field to pursue this call. Although Shun wasn't as smart as he liked to think, he took a severe enjoyment in the practice of chemistry and being able to randomly spout off information about atoms and other things. He just felt the need to know about chemistry, like something was telling him he needed to follow it.
When he was fifteen, his family decided to move. An early memory was of the Pact of Endymion, but had been an underlying and almost forgotten memory. When the family said they were going to move to Kyoto, he begged and begged to go to Tokyo instead. After much convincing and bribing, the family agreed with Shun's decision. They moved to Tokyo and shortly after, he learned he was the Shittenou of transmutation. Learning he was the Shittenou of transmutation made his love of chemistry become even more great. He finally knew why he needed to pursue his interest in chemistry and felt he better understood his true self because of this. He felt a connection to his position and vowed to follow the Pact of Endymion and work together with his fellow Shittenou as best as he could.

His cape is silver with mud brown lining. His shoes are brown boots which go to the knee and lace up. They do not have a heel and are very simple looking.
Attack Name: Kinzoku Transmute
Description of Attack: Cado absorbs the energy of the oncoming attack and transmutes it into a form of metal, usually a weapon to hurl back at the enemy. The attack is powerful, but hard to execute. If Cado does not transmute the energy of the attack in time, the attack's initial damage is inflicted, along with additional damage due to failure. He usually will transmute the metal into throwing needles, which is his preferred weapon.

The wind flew through his hair as he ran. He'd never felt so much adrenaline in his life. His feet pounded the ground as they carried him closer to the finish line. He could hear all the cheers of the people. He was just about to cross the line, when...
Shun rolled over, falling out of the bed. His face smacked the hard wood, jolting him awake.
“GAH!!” he yelled.
He sat up and rubbed his face. He looked around, groggily.
“Aw, man...I knew it was too good to be true,” he grumbled.
The red head stood up, getting back in his bed. He stretched and laid back, staring at the ceiling. He lay for a few minutes doing nothing. The teenager then tried to reflect on the dream. He hadn't had a dream about running track in a long time. It was interesting to be dreaming about that once more.
'How come I couldn't dream about transmuting something or something cool like that?' he thought, tilting his head to the side. He closed his eyes in thought for a few more minutes.
His mother's voice rang out, “Shun! Time to get up!! You need to take Akane for a walk!”
He groaned, getting up and pulling some clothes that were left on the floor on. He went downstairs and picked up the red leash.
“It's lame that I have to walk the dog on SUNDAY morning,” he complained, clipping the leash onto Akane's collar. The dog looked up at him curiously. He merely smiled. “Let's go running, Akane.”
