Who You Are:
These individuals do not replace the Sailor Senshi when it comes to ultimately fighting prominent forces of evil. Since the original Senshi passed away and Small Lady became the next sovereign in line, a royal guard needed to be constructed and appointed to specifically protect the current Royal Family from day-to-day ordeals. While there are many types of guards in the palace that fall under the one title, special classes of guards were appointed to act as personal bodyguards to the King, Queen, and Princess respectively. While they are regular people in comparison to the Senshi, they are considered the top of their class in the Royal Guard and the Guardian Cats have bequeathed to them magical devices that assist them in their work. They are known as the Star Sworn Knights, and there are only six of them whose sole job is to shadow their appointed sovereign and protect them from harm.
The second job of the Star Sworn Knights is to also act as appointed council and give advice when asked. While they hold no real political power, they are considered confidants to the monarchy and are the most trusted next to the Sailor Senshi themselves. To serve in the Royal Guard, you can be no younger than 20 years of age; and in order to better protect the family, have cast away their real names and identities. As the Senshi awaken, you are quickly beginning to realize that you might be out of a job fairly soon. Without any special powers to assist in direct combat against more sinister supernatural forces, you must now find other ways in being useful as the official Royal Guard to the King, Queen, and Princess.
Your Goals:
So you have cast away your real name and families in order to protect them and yourself from any impeding danger. At least, that’s what the story seems to sell everyone, including you. Not only you cast away your previous identity to protect the royal family, but you’ve also seemed to cast away any memory you may have had them to boot. All that you know is that you have sworn your life to your appointed royal member. To that, you seem happy and content. Though you do not know what your past may have been like, you truly do love and cherish the Moon Kingdom as though they were your own family. But ever since the Mirror Senshi started appearing, and new Planetary Senshi have also risen up in the fray, you can’t help but wonder if you’re somehow connected to this situation in a past lifetime. All six of you have unknown pasts. You’re the only ones in the Royal Guard that seem to have this commonality; and all six of you are at the top of your field within this profession. Something does not add up; and while you all struggle together to find the answer as to WHY, you also have that nagging sensation of feeling somewhat powerless in stopping this new evil and protecting your lieges.
Your Quirks:
» As one of the Knights that have shadowed your appointed sovereign’s every step, you have a somewhat over-protective nature. It’s been your sworn duty for the whole of your known life to guard your king, queen, or princess. Which means it’s even harder to come to terms with the fact that these new senshi are here to “take over” your job so-to-speak. You don’t really trust them, and it’s not uncommon for you to butt heads with any one of them from time-to-time.
» You have extensive knowledge in military tactics, warfare, and battle…but very LITTLE real-life training. Sure, your sovereign will go out amongst the crowd, but otherwise you have not been out in society enough to “blend in” comfortably. Now with the Senshi appearing, you will find a little bit of free time to mingle amongst the masses whilst still keeping vigil as appointed bodyguard. Adapting to this new environmental expectation may be harder than you initially thought.
» The Memorial to all of you gives you a feeling of complete dread. You will only steel yourselves enough to go there when your protected sovereign decides to make their way there. Otherwise, you would rather never be within several miles of that place if you could otherwise help it.
The Six Star Sworn Knights
The Star Sworn that protect King Helios:
- Morpheus: (Skill – Dreamwalking) Out of the six Star Sworn Morpheus is the only one able to travel with King Helios back and forth from Earth to Elysion in order to guard him. The Dream Catcher is a choker-type piece of neckwear created by King Helios, instead of the Guardian Cats, to help him in his affairs within the dream worlds. The second skill that the Dream Catcher is capable of doing is just as it describes. Morpheus is capable of channeling his / her sub consciousness into an individual who is sleeping and record the events of that person’s dream. When in this state, Morpheus’ physical body is vulnerable to attack.
- Zelus: (Skill – Emulation) Zelus is now sole owner of an upgraded version of the Luna Pen now known as the Lunar Pin. The item allows Zelus to transform into an exact copy of another individual in both looks and vocal structure. It’s a small crescent moon shaped lapel pin that adheres to clothing of any kind, and remains visible on the person during the disguise. Zelus needs to have interacted with the individual he or she is copying; otherwise errors will occur ranging in incorrect vocal pitch to bizarre physical appearances at random. Zelus’ occupation within the palace walls is that of espionage or infiltration of enemy territories when placed on direct assignment.
The Star Sworn that protect Queen Lady Serenity:
- Paean: (Skill – Healer) Paean is the official doctor within the walls of the Crystal Tokyo Royal Palace. He / She tend to many of the guards in addition to the health and welfare of the royal sovereigns. The special item bequeathed to Paean is the Cloth of Diana; a bandage-like bolt of fabric which can be utilized to envelope an individual’s wounds and channel the physical and spiritual energy of it’s user to mend or heal the damage. The cloth is about the side of a roll of gauze, but the fabric quality emulates silk and does not require clips or pins to keep the fabric adhered to the chosen wound. Because the item drains its user of their energy when trying to heal any damage, the item should be used sparingly and only in emergency cases.
- Cratos: (Skill – Mind) Cratos was indicted into the Royal Guard because his / her innate spiritual power was abnormally high for a human being. With the Athenian Mantle, a thin silver band that wraps around the forehead, Cratos is able to focus his / her spiritual energy into another being, allowing them to become more powerful with the combined strengths of Cratos and his / her selected partner. The second purpose of the mantle allows Cratos to focus in on an individual’s mind, occasionally being allowed to read partial thoughts or phrases that can sometimes be key information for him / her to utilize. Those of higher intellect and independent thought often do not fall victim to this skill. But those who are unsure of themselves or are depressed or weak of spirit are easy prey to Cratos’ mind reading skills.
The Star Sworn that protect Princess Moon:
- Iris: (Skill - Messenger)Iris’ domination is that of the information highway kind. He / She is the owner of the Artemis Mariner, a device similar to the former Sailor Mercury which is a combination of visor and wrist computer which allows Iris to surf the Internet and other databases from any location he / she is at. The information pops up on holographic screens which can be physically manipulated by Iris’s actions in order to pull up and change views on what they are looking at. In addition, the Artemis Mariner’s special skill allows Iris to pinpoint the locations of all three Royal Family members. Iris’ occupation within the Royal Palace is that of information gathering and military strategic actions.
- Horae: (Skill – Warden) Out of all the Star Sworn, Horae is probably the strongest from the brute strength aspect of things. As such, it’s only natural that he / she is the bodyguard and personal keeper of the Princess to guard, follow, and protect at all times. Because of this, Horae was bestowed the Orion’s Belt which amplifies a person’s physical strength and defense to that of a body builder’s status. On the down side, the belt leaves the wearer more susceptible to magic.
Keep in mind that these individuals rely on their technological items in order to perform their special skills. This means the items can be lost or stolen and used by other characters with very little trouble.
