BRING A MIRACLE, A SAILOR WING
Character Name: Shinkirou Inbino
Name Meaning: Mystery of the Mirage
Senshi/Shitennou Name: Anansi
Age: 19
Birthdate: December 4th
EVERYONE CARRIES A SHINING STAR
Personality: Shinkirou is headstrong, impulsive and outgoing, the kind of guy you'd want as a friend, but not necessarily as a leader. That's not to say he's an idiot, of course, just that he lacks the ability to plan. He's short-sighted in this particular fault, only being able to focus on the here and now, as opposed to any sort of plans for the future. He's also fairly wayward--even a little chaotic--flitting from one thing to the next without any regard to how it affects others. He has an inability to really care about the people around him--he likes friendship just as much as the next person, but has never really gotten close to one person--and as a result is a huge flirt and has been known to sport girlfriends (and even a boyfriend or two!) like trophies. Despite his nice, outgoing exterior, he's fairly selfish and knows it. He's a chronic liar, and he has a tendency to use everyone around him for, well, anything you can think of, and possibly a few things you can't. And while Shinkirou's in it for himself, he's also a coward, switching sides when he feels the other side can help him more.
Shinkirou's nature is really just a front, however. Deep down, he's a self-hating man who knows what he's doing is wrong, but simply doesn't know how to fix it--he's simply made too many enemies and quite honestly only had two good friends, one of which hates him and the other Shin's convinced hates him too. His attitude is there to steer people away from him--subconsciously, he doesn't want anyone close to him in fear it'll just get them hurt. (If confronted about it, he'd deny it until the day he died.) Besides, he does a damn good job of steering people away on his own...
Physical Appearance: N/A
Strengths: Manipulative, charismatic, good eye for colors, headstrong, can be whoever you need him to be
Weaknesses: Chaotic, wayward, headstrong, impulsive, treats people horribly
Dreams: Being the kind of guy Shinkirou is, he really doesn't have a dream for the future. Just whatever gets him by, he supposes.
Habits: He cracks his knuckles often and has a tendency to whistle when he's scheming. He also taps his foot, usually when he's feeling impatient.
Likes: People, crowds, getting what he wants, video games, kittens
Dislikes: Men with long hair, not getting what he wants, Yuki, the crazy chick at the arcade (Shizuku), people like him
History: Nothing horrible happened to him as a kid, in fact, he grew up happy and well cared for, if a bit spoiled. School happened, Shinkirou made friends with Kei and Yuki, and the three seemed like they would be inseparable. Everything changed in middle school, however, when Kei was injured, making Shinkirou lose both the friends he cared about--Kei because of the accident and Yuki because he blamed it on him in his panic. (Shinkirou's been very very vague about what led to the Kei incident in the first place, something he's not willing to share at all.) His father, Oishii (45), is the chief of police, and Shinkirou's grown up being the kind of guy who never actually *breaks* the law--just gets horribly close to doing so. His mom, Kashoku (38), works as a teacher at Crystal Tokyo High School and he has three younger brothers--Takeru (14), Kai (7), and Sai (7)--who all look up to him.
His friends and family see him as this perfect guy who can do no wrong. It usually takes some outsiders to see him for what he really is and call him out on it. Shinkirou's recently started college, much to his family's delight. With his recent awakening as a Shitennou, the young man's taken to the streets, examining the situation at hand. He hasn't quite decided who he'll be siding with, but he has his ideas...
TO TOMORROW, A SAILOR YELL
Elemental Power: Hallucination
Transformation Sequence: With a smirk, Shinkirou crosses his arms as misty, dark clouds enshroud him from the ground up, creating a cyclone of darkness and mist. Shinkirou chuckles within the mist, as the mist disappears, leaving nothing to be seen. After a moment, a cloak swishes as he steps forward, out of the nothingness, smirking once more as he mockingly bows, transformed into Anansi, his alter-ego.
Uniform Description: N/A
Special Items: None
Attack Name: Living Nightmare
Description of Attack: With an amused smile, Anansi points at his target. "Hmm...let's see how we can make this more interesting..." he taunts as a mist shrouds the area, making Anansi and everyone else save for the target disappear from view, cloaked by the distorting mist. While all an outside viewer can see is a thick mist, the target in question sees no one, shrouded by darkness. "Let's see what I can create, shall we?" Anansi asks as the target is subjected to an escalating array of their worst fears. While the hallucination cannot harm them physically--although it may feel that way!--it can mess with their head and leave them vulnerable in a mental sense.
Currently, Anansi can hold his attack for 45 seconds. Any longer has the risk of the attack rebounding on him. Which would be a bad thing.
I WILL CATCH IT, THE SAILOR STAR
Your Name: Riyna
Secret Phrase: Neptune Planet Power, Make-Up!
Roleplaying Sample: "Inbino-san?"
Shinkirou looked up from putting his things away, watching as the rest of the class filed out. He looked at the girl who addressed him, a shy, mousy girl with black glossy hair and thick glasses. She was also blushing, shifting from side to side, and not exactly meeting his eyes. Shinkirou pretended to not notice any of it, instead giving her a kind smile. "Yes, Suzuna-san?" he asked politely.
The girl blushed even more, staring at the floor. "Err, well, umm..."
Shinkirou resisted the urge to smirk, innocently reaching out and tipping the girl's chin up, absently tapping his foot. "You don't have to be nervous, you know." he said quietly, smiling again. Upon closer examination, he realized that this girl was related to one of the professors on campus. Now that was going to be useful.
"Well...I, um...I wanted to ask..." she fumbled, trembling. "...if I could...um! G-go on a date--" she blushed even more, pulling away from Shinkirou's touch. "Ah! Nevermind...I'm sure you have someone..."
He kept smiling. "I'd love to." he said smoothly. "After all, you're a very lovely young woman." he winked, watching as she turned a bright red. "How's tonight sound?" he asked, grinning when she let out a wordless approval, bowing to him and hurrying out of the room, looking like she was beyond Cloud 9. Once she was gone, Shinkirou chuckled a little, putting the rest of this things away and slinging his bookbag over his shoulder.
And as he left, he whistled a merry little tune, the music echoing through the halls
