GIVE SADNESS A SAILOR SMILE
Or is this your way to hide a broken heart?
Many dreams have been brought to your doorstep
They just lie there and they die there
BRING A MIRACLE, A SAILOR WING
Character Name: Hayashi, Kaede
Name Meaning: Forest Maple Leaf
Senshi/Shitennou Name: Sailor Cronus
Age: 17
Birthdate: September 4th
EVERYONE CARRIES A SHINING STAR
Personality: A normally calm girl, Kaede has always wanted to be a stronger person. Being in the Mirror Senshi, she figures, has finally granted her wish. To her, inner and outer strength is what holds a person together, and weakness is something that must be extinguished. If you're too weak, she figures, then it makes it all the more easier for an enemy to defeat you, and you'll lose "the universal game." However, she's not so much of a power-hungry "win at everything!" dictator-girl; her philosophy is more like "If you try to fight for something, you may as well try your hardest to win." She doesn't act like a drill seargent, though, it's more like "If you're not going to try your hardest and be strong, why are you even trying at all? I'm just curious."
Kaede actually seems rather bored most of the time as a civilian. It's almost as if she's tired of the world in general, and has seen it all. She wishes life had more excitement and change, though she hasn't seen very much of it. Kaede appears stand-offish at first, due to her "bored aura," but in reality is fairly friendly, and will gladly strike up a conversation with someone, so as long as they seem interesting in some way. (In fact, if any of her friends asked her why she liked them, her first answer would be "You're not boring.") She speaks in a quiet monotone most of the time, relying on slight change in facial expression to reveal her emotions.
Kaede treats fights more like a game, oftentimes congratulating an opponent if they do something to throw her off. Battle is truly the only thing that seems to excite her, as one never knows how it ends. During battle is the only time Kaede truly laughs.

History: Kaede was born to a pair of sports enthusiasts, namely track, and ever since she was a girl, Kaede wanted to become a world-famous runner. She practiced every day, running to and from wherever she went, noticing how running made her feel so powerful. Unfortunately, when she was nine years old, she was stricken with pneumonia, and her parents nearly lost her. Out of paranoid fear for their child's health and safety, they made her promise she would never run again, and her dreams were crushed. Kaede grew to resent her promise, and her parents as well.
Kaede's sadness over her promise was easy for others to see, but she was too upset at the time to care when they tried to comfort her. After a few weeks, she finally got over most of her grief and tried to return to her circle of friends. However, they were unsure as how to treat Kaede and so kept their distance. Kaede grew lonely without her friends, and since they had been her source of adventure for so long, she now had nothing to do and grew bored. Her later attempts to make new friends failed miserably, as they too thought Kaede didn't want their company, partly because of her grief and "leave me alone" period, and partly because her bored aura didn't seem all that inviting.
After a few years, her she and her parents moved, and Kaede was transferred to another school, the one she attends now. With a clean slate, she tried to be friendlier to people, despite her boredom, and make a new "self."
TO TOMORROW, A SAILOR YELL
Elemental Power: Nature
Transformation Sequence: Thrusting her hand into the air, she yells out "Cronus Mirror Power, Make Up!" The jewel on her ring flashes bright green, and sends glowing green ribbons downwards to cover her body. After the ribbons wrap around to completely cover her arms, torso, legs and feet, the glow explodes outwards and fades to reveal thick vines. With a pained expression on her face, Kaede tilts her head back as the vines slowly crawl upward to cover her face and cocoon her. The vine-cocoon suddenly dissolves away into black mist, revealing Sailor Cronus, who puts her hands on her hips and stands, feet apart, glaring determinedly at the "camera," with a dense forest at night in the background.
Uniform Description: N/A
Special Items: Her Henshin Item, a dark green ring on her left hand's ring finger. It's very plain, looking more like a band than a ring (except for a tiny, sparkling emerald in the center) and the band is about two centimeters wide. The ring is covered by her glove in Sailor Cronus form.
Attack Name: Whipping Ivy Onslaught
Description of Attack: Kaede stands with her left hand held in front of her, arm's length away, palm facing the ground. Her eyes are closed in a peaceful expression. Suddenly she flips her hand over to face upwards and her eyes snap open as she calls out "Whipping Ivy..." Swinging her hand around as she does a 360 turn, a glowing green circle appears beneath her, thick vines springing up around the edges, following her as she spins. When she faces the same direction she was originally, she brings her other hand outward to join her left, slapping them together as she shouts "ONSLAUGHT!" The vines, behind her, surge forward towards the target to either tie them up or strike them.
I WILL CATCH IT, THE SAILOR STAR
Your Name: Kris
Secret Phrase: Galaxia Power, Make Up
Roleplaying Sample: Kaede sat in the bleachers, her elbows on her knees, her head propped in her hands. Anyone who glanced at her right away would think her to be a statue of some kind, not a girl. The only movement she made for the past few minutes was her eyes moving back and forth to watch the runners racing on the track. Finally, she sighed, leaning backwards and stretching her hands over her head. "It's too bad they aren't doing the hurdles today," she mumbled quietly, twirling a bit of her hair between her thumb and forefinger as she watched one of the runners kiss the dirt. "That'd provide some change of pace, I guess."
Yawning again, Kaede stood up, checking her watch. She hated to keep to a schedule, but her parents had wanted her home by five tonight..."Think I'll take another route home tonight," she said to herself, gathering her bag and slinging it over one shoulder. "Maybe find a nice sweet-shop or something...Keep at it, guys!" she suddenly called out, her voice not changing except to get louder. "Keep at it! Don't give up, and don't lose!"
