Listed below are the rules of conduct that must be abided both in-game and out of game. This is to ensure that all players can enjoy Shattered Kingdom in a fair, respectful manner and that all have the opportunity to have a lot of fun. Failure to comply with the rules below can result in Administrative action.
1. You may only play one character from any faction within your 3 character limitations.
For example:
Sailor Mercury, Sailor Sedna, General Attis – OK
General Psyche, Sailor Vesta, Knight Morpheus – OK
Sailor Arawn, Sailor Chloris, General Ayatsuri – NOT OK
Knight Iris, Sailor Pallas, Knight Paean – NOT OK
You may only have a maximum of three (3) characters at any given time and one (1) "Freebie" henchman space (making it four (4) characters total). This count includes all character archetypes: Senshi, Mirrors, Shitennou, Knights, Henchmen, and Civilians.
2. Please try your best to uphold quality posting standards. This means that we ask you to post with the integrity of giving other players something to react to, or work with in proper response to you. While we don’t require you to write a novel length post, try for something that won’t cause players to struggle intently when they post back to you. One or two sentence replies are often not enough for people to work with.
3. No OOC chatter in the in-game threads. All out of character conversations are to be kept at the OOC boards at all times. Even questions pertaining to the roleplay.
4. No harassing other members of the group and no heavy profanity allowed. Self explanatory, moving on.
5. Sexual content is allowed with limitations. Anything that you would normally find on basic network television is permissible. Keep the descriptions PG-13 or R rated at the most. Anything deemed “too graphic” by the administration team can result in the editing or deletion of your posts / thread without warning. Don’t over-indulge in the hanky-panky, as it shouldn’t be the core reason you’re here.
6. Adhere to the fuku / uniform designs dictated by the administration. For more detailed definitions, please refer to each of the individual Character Factions.
7. Submitting an image of your character is considered mandatory. We would also prefer it to be of them in their fuku / uniform.
For those who are not artistically inclined, we will accept a basic design with the SAILOR SENSHI MAKER created by Drachea Rannak from the Doll Divine website. This is the only exception we will be making in regards to a profile submission through a “doll-making” program. However, we would prefer something hand drawn, edited, or designed by you or another artist if at all possible.
8. Please attempt to remain as consistent with terminology from the original Japanese series as possible, and avoid using terms unique to the dubbed versions.
9. Be respectful of other players’ characters and realistic with your character’s abilities. Under no circumstances are you allowed to play, assume, or decide reactions for another players’ character(s). In battles you may throw punches or attacks, but you cannot narrate their contact unless the other player accepts it in their own post. This rule also rings true in social scenarios. Likewise, if you are on the receiving end of an attack or situation, please be realistic to your character’s strengths and weaknesses in determining your course of posting action. Those who play their characters like as though they are invincible, or can’t properly justify their actions, will require administration intervention.
10. You are required to post with all of your characters at least once a week. Activity checks will be performed twice a month to make sure this rule is being abided by. If you are going to be absent for a certain length of time, please post in the ‘Leaves & Aways’ sub-board, and remove your character(s) from any threads they are currently participating in. Absences that will last for more than a month need to be individually discussed with the administration. Players that do not return to their posting activities within two weeks of their returning date will have their characters removed. Players who disappear entirely without warning will have their characters removed after three weeks of non-activity.
11. Please read the boards as much as possible. No matter what role you’re playing, it’s important to know what’s going on in this game so that you aren’t posting material that’s incorrect or irrelevant. If you're away for a period of time, please don't hesitate to ask for help catching up on the more significant events of the game.
12. You need to be pro-active in writing and plot advancement to keep the game enjoyable for yourself and others. When you apply as a player, you are volunteering yourself to become part of a writing team whose main goal is to advance the story to its ultimate ending. All players that create characters and participate in this game should come in with goals, objectives, and ideas for themselves and other players. Do not be afraid or hesitate to contact other players to work together. Challenge yourself (and others) to go outside of your RP comfort zones and try new, exciting things.
The administration will be closely scrutinizing each application and determining whether that particular character will be able to challenge and advance the storyline further. The administration also reserves the right to remove a character (or even a player) if found that they are creating a persistent negative effect on the gameplay experience.
