Kyoutei smiled brightly at Yuki's answer. "O-oh! That's wonderful! I was so worried that it'd be a no--but I'm so happy! I'm so looking forward to spending more time with you, since I really like being with you and--" At that moment, a breeze made the tree nearby rustle. "--I really do like you..." Kyou finished, in such a quiet voice it was lost among the rustling of the leaves. The girl wasn't aware that her voice had faded in volume.
She did, however, realize what she was saying--especially the last part. The girl immediately shut up, clapping her hands over her mouth once more. Her face turned a vivid shade of scarlet, to the point it was amazing she hadn't fainted from the blood rush. ...'I really like you'...gahhh, I wasn't even supposed to say what I did before! she finished mentally, kicking herself. The answer he had given brought her a small confidence boost--but one she quickly squashed. Yuki-kun probably sees me as a little sister... she thought, her face still a deep red.

Sadly, Yuki never heard Kyoutei's quietly muttered words, the combination of the wind and her weak voice making it impossible to hear. However, what she had said before that was certainly enough to cause him to blush lightly.
She liked being with him? Really? Even after that scene with Shinkirou... she still liked being around him? He couldn't put into words how relieved he was to hear that. Usually, when Shinkirou got involved with him and someone he was interested in, things always got ugly. His heart beat loudly in his chest and he opened his mouth to say something... then stopped.
Shinkirou's words still rang in his head. He shouldn't listen to him, really, he knew better than that, but... still. Countless rejections were enough to make him unwilling to take the first step anymore.
So instead, he just smiled at Kyoutei. "It would make things much more livelier around the kitchen to have you there. I'll make sure that the boss doesn't try and tease you too much. He does that, you know."

He didn't hear that last part...
Kyoutei wasn't really sure how she felt about that.
One the one hand, it meant that she didn't have to deal with the awkwardness that would have cropped up--or rejection. On the other hand, she wished he had heard her--it now meant she had to struggle with her own feelings even longer. Relieved and a little sad, she took a deep breath. I really like you I really like you I really like you-- she thought, hesitantly looking up just as Yuki had opened his mouth to say something--then stopped. For a moment, Kyou felt an overwhelming sense of dread. She realized Yuki hadn't replied to anything she had said yet. Oh god he figured it out and now he's going to reject me-- she thought in horror...then blinked as he mentioned the shop.
"O-oh! I'm sure he's not that bad, Yuki-kun..." she replied, pushing thoughts of romance to the back of her mind for now--maybe she could talk to Kouin or Michi or even Hibiki about it before really doing anything. "My dad and uncle tease me too...my uncle was teasing me so much this morning!" she smiled, but her cheeks flushed a vivid pink--the teasing had been about her having a crush on Yuki. "But your boss seems pretty nice--even if he is a little scary..." she laughed a little, nervousness tearing at her the whole time.
...this might be a little difficult. she realized.
