Date: April 8th Time: Early Evening
---
It had been a long time since she'd had one of those dreams.
The first time Kyoutei could remember having one, it had been shortly after her awakening. Something about fighting--why couldn't she remember it now? Was it just too tragic for her? She didn't know. But today, today she had one of those dreams again. She had taken a small nap after doing her chores--and there it was, the dream about the woman with the golden hair.
"Have faith," she said. But have faith in what? Kyoutei thought, her mental questioning torn when a few raindrops hit her face. She squeaked a little in alarm and dug into her purse for an umbrella. She had decided to take a walk after waking up from the dream--
--hang on. Where was she?
The brunette looked around hastily. It was a part of the city she only recognized faintly until...
"The Memorial..." she whispered. Of course it was the Memorial. She had come here last time, hadn't she? Quietly, the girl made her way up the steps, looking upward as the statues came into view. She found herself staring at the statue of the former queen. "What do I do?" she found herself saying, her voice as quiet as it always was.
Her only answer was the steadily increasing rain.

Since that day in Shinjuku, Kaede had noticed her headaches had pretty much disappeared. She wasn't quite sure why...part of her wanted to think it was because of what the pen had done--made her a Senshi?--but that sounded crazy. No crazier than turning into a mini-skirt-wearing superhero and fighting a little blender... she thought with a small snort. Her gaze was focused on the ground, watching her feet as she walked in the rain.
The rain didn't bother her very much, and she felt dry enough in her hooded coat, hands in her front pockets, where the pen lay safely. Kaede had never wanted to let go of it after that time, keeping it on her person at all times. She hadn't seen the other dark Senshi, though she wished she could have...She had a few questions for her. Namely why they were there, when the Senshi were supposed to have died. And why their outfits were black instead of white. With a shake of her head--she'd find the other girl another day...probably with another attack--she looked up, noticing where she'd ended up.
"Oh, really now, again?" she sighed. Was fate really so cliched as to lead her to the Memorial again? Kaede snorted again, about to turn around and head in another direction, when the back of a familiar person caught her eye. She turned back, staring a few moments as she tried to place a name to that...back. "Aijouno-san," she finally remembered, taking a few steps forward. Kaede moved as quietly as she could, walking until she stood right behind the smaller girl, stared down.
Clearing her throat, Kaede removed one hand from her pockets and set it on the other girl's shoulder. "Aijouno-san...don't drop something," she joked lightly.

Like a snow haired angel of the evening, Gekkani strode elegantly through the Memorial. She had taken her feelings of rage against the Memorial and tried her best to toss them away for the night. She needed new inspiration, and she had to admit to herself the statues' regalia was inspiring. Work over feelings was tonight's anthem.
Lazily, she slumped onto the ground. Lacking any sort of grace in the motion and landing with a little huff upon contact with the hard, cold ground. The rain pattering on her hair and face did not deter her this night, she ignored everything around her besides the figures she both hated, and slowly found herself admiring. What about them was so admirable to her, though? Gekkani knew deep in her heart she hated them, that she'd love to make the Memorial into ruins. How could she, though? Nothing could destroy these, right?
Gekkani lacked any form of writing utensil or paper to sketch upon but was relying on her own vivid imagination to fuel her designs. If they were worth making, they were worth remembering she believed. She gazed up towards the Queen and felt her heart swell. A mix of rage and sadness. Would she make the latter ever known? Never, What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Was quickly becoming her new motto.
"If only I could break you down... " She muttered, adjusting her legs slightly, her mind flowing through ideas of chic black dresses, gold trim, spikes... I would surely take your place..." Lace, chains... "I'd make this world worth living in again." Grandeur.

Kyoutei had remained silent, lost in her thoughts and wonderings, jolted back to reality when someone put their hand on her shoulder. The girl jumped slightly, letting out a faint squeak of surprise, and glanced over her shoulder. When the other spoke up, her whole body relaxed. "Oh, Hayashi-san, hello." Kyoutei greeted with a nod, her white ribbons bobbing up and down. "Fancy seeing you here..." she added after some silence, the steady pitter-patter of rain against her umbrella puncturing her words.
She didn't really know what else to say, so she bit her lip, trying to think of a topic. Turning her gaze back to the statues, she looked upward, tilting up her umbrella ever so slightly to get a better look at the memorial itself. "They look nice, don't they?" she asked, motioning briefly to the statues themselves.
Ugh, that sounded really stupid...

"Nice?" Kaede didn't notice Kyoutei's semi-distress, tilting her head to look at the statues. They didn't make her head hurt or anything, so she could gaze at them without fear. Without fear? They're only statues of dead people... Somehow that part didn't sound all reassuring. "I guess...the art is good. And I suppose the stone, the way they're built is alright," she admitted in a flat, quiet voice.
"I don't see why they had to be made so big, though," she had to admit. What was the point anyway? Why couldn't the statues be smaller, more lifesize? That made a bit more sense, and they'd look a lot less imposing. And besides which, Kaede told herself, these people had died. Lost their lives, therefore, they lost a fight. Why did the losers end up so giant? "It makes no sense," she mumbled again, touching the pen in her pocket. Her eyes traveled over to the Jupiter statue, and she held her pen tighter.
"Aijouno-san," she said at last. "What are you doing in the rain? And out here?"

As quietly as the breeze she came upon, Gekkani pried herself from the ground. Searing rage boiling within her chest so violently she could burst. She could harness this anger, hate, and somehow.. hurt into something beautiful.
Nudging a stubborn strand of snow-white hair behind her hair, she whisked away back to her apartment, her life of fashion, glamor, and backstabbing. A world nearly perfect for her, one she was conquering.
She hoped somewhere deep inside she'd one day have more. Something within her was changing.

Kyoutei seemed to be a little distracted, but when Kaede asked what she was doing out here, the girl made a little noise of surprise, snapping back to the present again. "A-ah..." she murmured, uncertain of how to word it. "Life's been kind of...weird lately." she explained, her voice still as quiet as ever, "I'm not sure why, but I always end up coming here when I'm troubled..." her gaze sought out the statue of Venus, her lavender eyes remaining there for a moment before she looked away.
Why was I the one chosen? I'm sure there was someone better...
"It's sort of--calming, here, I guess? Although I guess that sounds a little strange, right?" she laughed a little, "Seeking solace in a place meant for the dead. Almost as bad as meditating in a graveyard or something!"
She caught a glimpse of a girl with white hair leaving, blinking a little. I wonder who she was...?

"Hn....weird," Kaede echoed, looking away from Kyoutei and at a statue a little ways away. Her eyebrows raised a bit as she noticed a familiar figure leaving--was that Gekkani-san? Kaede almost called out to her, but she doubted the white-haired girl could hear her...And Kyoutei was talking again.
"It's sort of--calming, here, I guess? Although I guess that sounds a little strange, right?" she laughed a little. "Seeking solace in a place meant for the dead. Almost as bad as meditating in a graveyard or something!"
Kaede paused to consider that for a moment. She would never come here when troubled...she'd actually have preferred not to come here at all, but Fate was strange that way. Despite her own opinions, Kaede could sort of see what the shorter girl was getting at with those statements. Shaking her head slightly, Kade looked back at her. "No...I think I understand what you mean, Aijouno-san," she monotoned. She looked around the Memorial again, holding back the smallest of shudders as she continued. "I bet you feel...like they're still here. Somehow...watching, right? And that comforts you, yes?" she asked, once more looking into Kyoutei's eyes. She did wonder...what sort of weird thing the other girl was experiencing. Weird was exciting, after all.

On the one hand, Kaede was sort of getting it, on the other hand Kyoutei just wished she could spill some things. The girl found herself nodding in cadence with the taller girl's words anyways, letting out a soft "S-something like that, yeah..." her grip tightened on her umbrella a little as the rain seemed to have settled on a steady pace.
Why am I even bothering with this place? I won't get answers...
Other questions sprang up in her mind, but the only one she let out was: "How about you, Hayashi-san? What brings you here...?"

"Me?" Kaede tilted her head slightly, thinking it over. Well, she could tell the truth...which was that she honestly had no idea why she was here. But would that really fly? Eh, why not? It's Aijouno-san, she should believe it... "I just...felt like it. I was bored," Kaede offered with a shrug of her shoulders.
There was another pause between them, and Kaede tilted her head back a bit, as if to see if the rain was slowing or if the clouds were leaving yet. No such luck, and all Kaede got for her trouble was a wet forehead and nose. She looked back down at Kyoutei, shrugging her shoulders a bit. "That's all," she monotoned. She couldn't stop thinking about the "weird things" comment, however. Hoping Kyoutei wouldn't think her too nosy, she she asked "What...what sort of weird things have happened, by the way? Can't be school-related...that's not weird, that's dull."
