Shizuko was about to do something she had spent her entire life trying not to do - spend a large chunk of money. But not all at once - oh no. She couldn't do that. And not on things that looked flashy and expensive. Although she did need to visit her favourite camera shop down in Akihabara as the owner had been kind enough to attempt to order her another lens for her landscape project she was about to work on. And she needed some new clothes, and...
The more she thought the longer the list became, and the more she just drifted aimlessly through the mall. Right! She thought firmly to herself, you don’t need all that stuff. One pair of jeans, and possibly a new shirt. And you’re allowed only one packet of sweets. Her shoulders visibly slumped at that thought, but she shrugged and lifted her gaze to see here her feet had taken her. At the completely wrong end of the mall. Awesome.
Turning round she began to head back the way she came, once again lost in her thoughts...

Oh man oh man oh man--
Kyoutei was rather nervous today. Any thoughts about the research she'd done a few days before went completely out the window. White Day was was today, much to her embarrassment, and while she had no idea what Yuki had planned, her uncle had pretty much demanded she go to the mall and pick out a new outfit. Something new, something pretty, something...something, she hadn't caught the rest. Her uncle had written down suggestions for her and supplied her with several magazines with different outfits circled.
Maybe I should have asked Youenko-san to help-- she thought, fretting over this. She would know what to pick, right? Nervously, the girl flipped through her "study materials" again before digging in her purse to check the time, completely blind to her surroundings--
--so of course she ran right into someone.
"Eeek!" she cried out, rebounding off Shizuko and landing on her butt, dropping her open purse, her cellphone rolling right out of it. The papers and magazines she'd been holding went everywhere, making her embarrassment even more so. "O-oh man, I'm so sorry I should really be looking where I was going sorry sorry sorry--" Kyoutei rambled at lightning speed, blushing harder and harder as she pushed herself to her feet, offering a hand to help the other girl up. "Are you okay? I didn't hurt you or anything, right?"

"Oh god, I'm so sorry! I completely wasn't looking where I was going!" Shizuko began to apologise profusely, picking up the papers she had scattere from the young girls arms all over the floor. Oh man, I've just almost completely wiped out this poor girl! she thought as she managed to pick up the last of the papers and shuffled them in to neatness.
"I'm so sorry about that. Are you ok?" Shizuko smiled as she handed over the girl's notes, looking down for a second in curiosity at what was on the papers. She managed to read the words 'sailor senshi' and the names of the planets before the thought that she should probably stop being so nosey surfaced in her mind and she looked back up at the girl's face. She had such big, worried eyes in that incredibly young face of hers, and another thought rapidly surfaced.
"Er, I know this is going to sound a little odd, but have you ever been asked to model before?" Shizuko paused for a moment, before realising that her last sentence could be totally taken the wrong way. "Aah, oh that came out wrong. Erm, my name is Yuukino Shizuko, and I'm a photographer." she handed the girl one of the millions of spare business cards she kept about her person

It appeared Kyoutei and Shizuko were simply talking over each other, though Shizuko's voice easily overpowered Kyoutei's voice. She blinked as Shizuko started gathering her papers without asking, although quickly helped where she could. She cringed a little as she realized she'd subconsciously brought some research papers along--she could have sworn the only papers she'd brought were the fashion ones from her uncle. Maybe she was still hung up about the research she'd been doing...
"I-I'm fine!" she assured the other girl, "I-I'm really clumsy so I-I'm used t-to tripping and falling a-a lot..." she said wryly, then blinked as the other girl asked about modeling. ...does she still mean me...? Kyoutei thought, blushing. The girl paused for a moment to pick up her papers, the magazine, and her cellphone, rolling the papers and magazine up and putting them in her purse, the hint of an orange pen being seen for just the briefest of instances before it was covered up again. Briefly, she checked to make sure she hadn't managed to break it--and it was then that the other girl spoke up again.
"I-it's nice to meet you, Yuukino-san!" Kyoutei said as she took her card, bowing a little, her purple ribbons bobbing slightly. "Ah! I'm Aijouno Kyoutei..." she added--it was only fair to give her name back. "I-I think I heard y-you wrong about that first part though--you said something about modeling...?" she asked, the bewildered look on her face all too obvious to see. "I don't think I-I'd be a good choice..."

"No, no, you'd be great! You don't have to be stick thin or six foot tall or anything, its all in the eyes! Look, I'm doing a shoot in Ueno Park next week and I'd really like you to take part. Bring a friend, if you'd like." Shizuko began to realise she was doing her slightly creepy, single minded thing again and rocked back on the heels of her sneakers, hoping the girl wouldn't feel too pressured.
Digging in to her brown leather messenger bag she pulled out one of the flyers that she had put up in Akihabara, Shibuya and around the Omotesando Mall and handed one to Kyoutei. "Here, Aijuno-san, this has the times and dates on. Please say you'll consider it? You'll get your own copies of your photographs too!"
I hope she says yes, Shizuko thought, her smile slightly hesitant, she'd make a lovely shot framed with trees, perhaps a few pale flowers...

Kyoutei froze like a deer in headlights as Shizuko started talking about photos and modeling and not having to be six feet tall. When the older girl mentioned that she would really like her to take part, the girl inwardly grimaced, blinking in confusion as the girl brought out a flyer and thrust it at her. Hesitantly, the girl took it, gazing at the time and the date.
No matter how Kyoutei looked at it, she'd been backed into a corner. She didn't want to seem rude, especially since aside from the "creepiness," Shizuko seemed to be a nice girl. She found herself wondering if Youenko would like to come along, or maybe Kouin...
Finally, the girl nodded. "It--it sounds like fun! I-I'll try to bring someone along..." she told the older girl, offering a hesitant smile. A second thought came to mind and Kyoutei found herself replying again before she could stop herself, "Do you normally, ah, crash into potential models at the mall, Yuukino-san?" her tone was lightly teasing, the smile on her face becoming just a little more confident, although inwardly, the girl was horrified. What was she doing? She'd just met this girl and was already joking around with her! She didn't even know why! Granted, she did feel a little at ease around this girl, but that didn't excuse acting familiar around her! Although, come to think of it, she'd acted the same way around Youenko...
Please don't be mad... she found herself thinking.

Once again, Hatsuko had the chance to look at the world she had never known from behind the tinted lens of her pink shades. She would never get tired of just looking through the store windows, examining the strange little trinkets they had to offer. And all the free chocolate samples she had managed to get her hands on today were certainly a plus! Hatsuko ate chocolates at home all the time…but the ones that were passed out here just didn’t compare. With a mouth full of sweet darkness, the princess continued to walk around the mall aimlessly, her free hand clutching the strap of the brand new messenger bag. Her ruby hued eyes were fixated on everything but the path in front of her, but somehow she managed not to bump into anything or anyone.
She continued on, a joyful smile playing upon her lips. It seemed as if nothing would be able to tear her gaze away from the material things around her. Well, almost nothing. From the corner of her eye, Hatsuko spotted two girls. They seemed normal enough; nothing in particular set them apart from the rest of the bustling crowd. But for some reason the silver haired girl couldn’t take her eyes off the pair, and soon found herself silently walking in their direction. Upon reaching the too, Hatsuko stood there silently, her head tilted slightly in confusion. Maybe she had seen the two around the castle before? No, she would have known if people her age were doing business there. ”Errr, sorry about that! I just wanted to say…I like your purse!!” She said pointing to the bag Kyotuei had in her possession. Of course that wasn’t the reason she had wandered over to the two, but she had to make something up.

"Aah, no." Shizuko blushed and smiled, suddenly very aware of how very odd this situation was. "I've not actually done this before, I just... You know when you spot something and you just get a sudden flash of inspiration?" I should probably stop talking! I'm just sounding weirder and weirder!
It was then that Hatsuko interrupted their conversation, and Shizuko took the opportunity to attempt to stop being so damn odd.

Whew...
It took every fiber in Kyoutei's being to not sigh in relief and start apologizing again. She laughed when Shizuko commented on being inspired--her methods were a little odd, but she seemed harmless enough. "I-it's okay, Yuukino-san. It means you really love your craft!"
It was then that a new voice chimed in and, despite herself, Kyoutei jumped a little in surprise. Blushing a little, she gazed over at the newcomer, blinking a little.
Had she met this girl before...?
"O-oh! U-um, thank y-you!" Kyoutei said, realizing the girl had complimented her purse. "I-it's not really all that nice compared to y-yours though..." she added, noting how new the other girl's purse looked compared to her, erm, well-worn purse. "A-ah! I like your sunglasses too!" she added after another moment, it only seemed right to say something in return. As she spoke, she mentally still tried to place this girl--there had to be a really good reason she felt like she knew her!

Post by Wakana Hibiki on Mar 5, 2010 22:33:24 GMT -5
Do you know what everyone loves? Easy money. Hibiki especially was down for that considering the yen she'd be making would be from her older brother. Well, actually... She wouldn't be getting coins to jingle, but Naaji promised to buy her the latest Stone Cog Steady game! Sure, it was about grizzled War Vets but it was the final chapter in the series! Hibiki could never resist such a lure. Her older brother knew her far too well. All she had to do was present her perky self in the mall, accost random strangers, and shove fliers into their hands! Easy as pie!
This was her mission and Hibiki had accepted it. She had a stack of vibrant fliers tucked into her laptop bag against her beloved computer, another lesser stack clutched against her chest, and a determined glint to her blue eyes. No mall goer between the ages of thirteen to twenty were safe! Already the mall was showing signs of her attacks with many window-shoppers and marathon shoppers clutching a flier giving details about the Crown Royal Dance Club.
The girl had been hard at work for an hour now, crowding her way into groups with a cheerful smile and innocent look before handing out fliers to her brother's club and yammering on how epic the place happened to be! There was also the perk of cherry picking who she talked to, especially when it came to people of the opposite gender. The hot ones were her targets of course. A flirter smile and a pleading request to have them come see her DJ always sweetened the deal as she handed over the flier.
Now Hibiki found herself on the hunt once more. Too many old bats were roaming about and she was beginning to think she meandered into the wrong section of the mall. All these stores attracted old people!! Was that a frown turning Hibiki's lips? No, nay, never! She can't give up yet! Her eyes roam over the wandering people once more and then-
Ah! Three girls were chatting away looking familiar just ahead and to the left of Hibiki. Perfect! There is no hesitation as Hibiki approaches the group, stray bits of conversation about a purse reaching her ears. Butting in and being rude? No problem for Hibiki!
"Hello and excuse me!!" Hibiki is all smiles as she steps up to the group, one flyer already held out as she waves it like a flag. "I have a quota to meet and you three look just the type who may be interested! Any of you heard about the Crown Royal Dance Club?" Could her grin get any bigger?
Survey says:
No.

"A new dance club? Ooh!" Shizuko smiled as she reached out for the flyer the girl was proffering. She hadn't had the chance to let her hair down for a long time, and perhaps the appearance of this girl as she was about to go out and treat herself was fate. "I've not been out dancing in ages!"
Thinking to herself for a moment, she looked over at Kyoutei and yet another idea popped in to her head, although she had the feeling that the shy, quiet girl probably wouldn't go for it. "I should take everyone there after the photoshoot as a thank you! You've come along at just the right time, Miss."
It was strange, even to Shizuko who was more comfortable around strangers than normal, but she felt so very at ease in the company of these three random girls. Something felt right, but as she began to say something else a wave of dizzyness overtook her. Getting as far as "Oh dear...", Shizuko felt her eyes flutter and the ground suddenly came up to meet her behind.
She'd passed out.
But the nightmare was different this time. Instead of chasing a cat through the darkness by her own purple glow there was a voice, and a woman. She couldn't make out any details in the darkness behind her eyes, but someone was trying to call to her. It was the first sound she'd heard in her dreams for a long time but it was muffled and muted, like it wasn't supposed to be there.

Kyoutei bit her lip as she waited for Hatsuko's response, letting out a soft gasp when yet another girl joined into the fray, instinctively moving to the side a little. The sudden addition of another person made her feel a little closed in and dizzily, she moved toward the edge of the group, shoving back the feeling that she was suffocating. As she did this, the new girl kept chatting. The brunette caught something about a dance club and inwardly, the girl shuddered. She just knew that wouldn't be her style--
It was then that Shizuko spoke and Kyoutei turned to the older girl, about to ask what she had said, when Shizuku fell backwards. With a cry of "Y-Yuukino-san!" the girl reached out, blindly grabbing one of Shizuko's arms. Unfortunately, the other girl's falling made Kyoutei fall over slightly herself, though she braced her feet to keep herself from tumbling, but she had at least managed to save Shizuko from falling backward completely and hitting the back of her head. "Y-Yuukino-san! Yuukino-san!" Kyoutei said, her soft voice rising in panic as the other girl didn't respond.
"C-can one of you call emergency services?!" Kyoutei squeaked out, looking frantically at Hibiki and Hatsuko.

Hatsuko looked over her shoulder at the messenger bag Himeko had brought for her only a few days before, and her chest swelled with pride. It was a pretty cool bag wasn’t it? And the fact that her best friend had brought it for her made Hatsuko all the more delighted. ”Thanks, they are m—“ Before she could finish forming her sentence, Hatsuko was cut off by a girl with the strangest orange-blond hair she had ever seen. The girl stared down at the flier that was held out to her in obvious confusion. ”Dance Club…?” She asked with a small frown tugging at her lips. What in the world was a dance club? The first image that came to her mind was some sort of animated stick that was used to hit people with…but why in the world would someone want to pass out a flier for that?
Of course the princess was about to inquire about this even further, however the soft voice of Shizuko and the panicked one of Kyoutei caught her attention. ”What’s…?” The question did not need to be asked. Hatsuko’s mouth fell open as she saw the dark haired female fall backwards and narrowly miss hitting the ground below at full force. For a moment she simply stood there, both of her hands clasped over her mouth. Finally she reached out and grasped Shizuko’s other arm in an attempt to help steady her. Not knowing what to do, Hatsuko looked from Kyoutei to Hibiki. ”Do something”

Hibiki smiled to the girl who took the flier, head nodding slowly in agreement. "I have a knack for timing you see, oh-! The Club wont open until seven at the earliest, but we're open every day except for Sundays!" Perky pigtails bob with Hibiki's eager motions as her hands sweep dramatically as words fly from her mouth. Must sell it! Hibiki takes no notice to one of the girl's hesitation and physical signs of taking herself from the conversation. Just give Hibiki a moment and she'll reel that one in too!
Funny how out of all the people Hibiki had approached today, this gathering of females had Hibiki looking forward to spotting them at the Club. Feet take her to step towards the Sun glass wearing girl, even if Hibiki is not aware of it. Everything just felt right so these girls just had to come to the club!!
Then everything shatters, shrieks from the other girls as one falls like a pin. Funny how Hibiki doesn't snatch for the fallen girl but draws closer to Hatsuko, eyes darting about for a threat. A monster like the Queen had defeated zapped the girl!? Would she have to trans-
Thoughts cut off as both conscious girls now cry out for actual action. Hibiki blinks dully, then logic kicks in. She was a Senshi!! Hibiki had to help these people even if she was not in uniform. All right, go time!
"Can you two ease her down to sitting or laying without dropping her? Also, do either you have a cellphone on you? If not, I can call...Just need a-" Her voice trails off.
Hibiki is once more looking about, but not for a threat. She's scanning about for an adult, security specifically. A mall cop could help, right? Shoppers are already taking notice of the group and the passed out girl, concerned faces turning their way. Just need a... Ah! Hibiki starts waving frantically with both hands, stray fliers escaping with the movement. "Sir, sir!! We need medical help! Someone has passed out!" That gets the pudgy mall-cop moving.
With all of the mall very aware of the situation, Hibiki once more looks to the others. She drops to a crouch near Shizuko, setting her stack of fliers down as a hand starts groping for her own cellphone if needed.

Not good, not good--
Kyoutei bit back a sigh of relief as Hatsuko attempted to steady Shizuko on the other side, a sudden feeling of subservience flowing through her when Hatsuko told them to do something. She brushed this away as quickly as it had come, and when Hibiki suggested easing Shizuko down, the brunette nodded, beginning to ease Shizuko down on her side, hoping Hatsuko was doing the same. As she did this, Kyoutei ruffled around in her own purse, rummaging around for her cellphone.
There we go-- she thought as she pulled it out--and failed to notice the addition of her henshin pen. Smiling nervously in triumph, she turned over to Hibiki--to see Hibiki already grabbing around for her own cellphone. The brunette stared for a moment, slightly lost, then realized she'd brought her pen out with her cellphone. Letting out an embarrassed squeak (and praying anyone that saw the pen had no idea what it signified) she quickly stuffed her cellphone and her henshin pen back in her purse. The girl turned her gaze back to Shizuko, biting her lip in worry--she hoped the other girl would be okay.
A small part of her realized this wasn't exactly how she planned on spending her White Day either.
