All my life I wish I broke mirrors, instead of promises
Cause all I see, is a shattered conscience staring right back at me
I wish I had covered all my tracks completely cause I'm so afraid
Is that the light at the far end of the tunnel or just the train?
Character Name: Wakana, Hibiki (Echo of Harmonious Music)
Senshi Name: Sailor Pallas
Age: 17
Birthdate: June 2nd;Gemini sign of Air ruled by Mercury.
Personality: One look at Hibiki and most would say she's a vibrant creature who talks too loud, too fast, and draws far too much attention to herself. A social butterfly to the extreme, Hibiki seeks to make herself the life of a party. To Hibiki, life is just one giant game and she's going to enjoy the ride. There isn't time to be sad when this game only gives you one life! Her casual friends would say she's an upbeat person who lets problems slide off her back like water on a duck. Hibiki seems to be liked by all as long as they only have to take her in small doses, lending her to know and be known by plenty in school and the places she haunts. Sadly it's only a surface image she gives off and gains in return from others. Hibiki is far too wrapped up in enjoying everything to bother with deep connections with anyone and she believes doing so would tie her down for too long. This reflects in her wandering attentions with her school work and tendency to switch boyfriends as often as she switches out gaming obsessions. Hibiki's straying attention can even be seen in conversing with her where she may suddenly switch up topics as a thought hits her or eyes stray as an object catches her eye.
Her flighty and bubbly personality lend others to think the girl to be an air-head, but that chipper smile is hiding plenty of calculations. She'd never tell you but the grades she keeps in any math related classes show her mind to be a sharp one when it comes to numbers and patterns. Coding specifically is Hibiki's forte along with cracking it. It all started when she became curious of how her favorite PC games worked which allowed her proficiency with patterns and numbers to bloom. Now Hibiki modifies, cracks and hacks the games she enjoys as much as she plays them.
Hibiki's natural aptitude with patterns and how to keep them in balance has recently presented itself in another form. Upbeat music has always been a part of Hibiki's life, a back-drop to those rhythm games she had a knack to mastering. When her older Brother took over a failing Club and turned it around into one of the hotter Teen hot spots in the area, it was only natural that Hibiki would be drawn to the electronic sound that shook it's walls. One step in and she was pestering the DJs about their computer equipment, another and she downloaded the programs herself. It was only logical that she'd give music making a spin herself when an electronic song can be broken down to known patterns and simple mathematical formulas. Such an easy thing to balance out and master when you know the basics. It didn't hurt that mixing up tracks put Hibiki center stage once a week for a crowd of at least thirty other people all lavishing her with attention. The little social butterfly dazzled and entranced the crowd as her positive outlook and boundless energy found its way into the music that she mixed up.
Still, what happens when the crowd dissipates and the party stops? When there is no one to make laugh, impress with her antics or show off to; what then? These are things Hibiki can not stand, not having distractions at hand to keep her mind occupied. A quiet Hibiki isn't something she shares to the world at large. Her constant need for companionship lends isolation to be a depressing time for the girl. In such secretive moments, Hibiki can't help but reflect on her shallow exitance of material wealth. There are always urges to reach out just a bit further with someone and connect with them on a deeper level. It's something she pretends to do through her music; getting people to move hips to a beat she creates. That counts as contact, right?
This need to constantly have something to do has lead Hibiki into her obsession with electronics, specifically anything related to her hobbies. A laptop tucked in a bag is always at her hip, latest cell-phone with tons of javascript games is a pocket away, and even a hand held consol is tucked in her bag. Things Hibiki can busy herself if it gets too quiet around her. Hibiki can't allow herself to be idle in public, least she remember how pointless everything actually is. Games are fun and all, but they are only time-wasters.
When Hibiki becomes Pallas, not much changes for how she acts with the world. Things have just transformed into a whole new level in the game of life to Hibiki. She's a super hero and becoming a Senshi is akin to living out one of her favorite adventure games. Besides, A Senshi could never be lonely for all the attention they get. Hibiki is far from realizing the reality of her new found situation.
Physical Appearance: Hibiki runs on the short side at around 5'2" with a scrawny built typical of a girl who has yet to fill out any womanly curves fully and has a diet that consists of anything caffeinated. All her muscle seems to be in her legs and hands(!!) reflecting what Hibiki wastes her time with; gaming, hacking and dancing. Gym class is intended for skipping and a laptop is hardly heavy lifting to a girl. Hibiki's face is heart-shaped and framed by her vibrant orange-blonde hair that she usually puts up in messy pig-tails with hair ties or clips reflecting the colors of her outfit. Deep blue eyes are in constant motion as she watches the world and her lips seem to always curl into an easy smile or sudden laugh. Her complexion runs on the pale side and circles can be spotted under her eyes due to rarely staying outside for any length and late night gaming or clubbing sessions.
Typically, Hibiki dresses casual when not in her school uniform. Bright colors with blue, yellow and orange being dominant are her usual picks. Frilly skirts, slick jeans, brightly colored striped socks, and playful tees are the norm with plenty of flashy but inexpensive bracelets and necklaces. The brighter the better. She even pushes the letter by wearing some more outlandish accessories with her school uniform.
Strengths: Aptitude with patterns and dissecting them akin to those seen in coding languages and on a simplified level the beats found in songs. She unconsciously picks up on these subtle cues and applies them to working problems out. Her endless curiosity and boundless energy help to conquer tasks set out before her. Hibiki also can mesh in most any social situation with her cheerful manor. Her Senshi powers have recently cropped up in the form of excellent balance for Hibiki. She seems to always land on her feet no matter the fall and can balance any sort of odd shaped object unconsciously. Comically enough, if you point out this odd talent to her, she’s prone to drop whatever she happens to be holding that drew attention in the first place.
Weaknesses: A wandering mind that is easily distracted plagues Hibiki along with her inability to take anything serious. She's dancing through life and has no time to think of the consequences of her actions which leads to many failed relationships, friendships and projects. Plenty find taking Hibiki in extended doses results in the girl losing her adorable shine and many don't try to renew acquaintances once that point is reached.
Dreams: If we push aside the daydreams of slaying the dragon and rescuing an entire planet, Hibiki's wants run along the lines of finding something legal to do with her coding love, some popularity for her music or discovering the other Senshi. She'd never tell anyone, but she wants just one soul who she can relax about and not have to put on a perky show for.
Habits: Hibiki has a habit of fixating on one electronic object until she has completely figured it out or hacked it. She also unconsciously taps out beats with a foot or finger while thinking or musing in general. Also, anything that catches her ear or eye will get Hibiki wandering off. When upset in any form, Hibiki is prone to pick at the bracelets on her wrists.
Background:
There is nothing notable in Hibiki’s past, for she has lived an average life in Crystal Tokyo with her family. Her father, Senichi is a well enough off businessman who works for a generically generic company with connections to the states. They make cell phones or some such thing. Hibiki never cared much for the details and her father was not much on sharing. Friends point out that this may be the origin of Hibiki’s love of electronics. Her mother was once a one hit wonder pop sensation in her youth, but that glamour has long since faded and now Chizu contents herself with the job of a house wife. Hibiki was born their second child and first girl having Naaji as her older brother of four years.
Currently, Hibiki has taken up residence with her older brother while she goes to High School. Her technological and gaming obsessions have run out her parent’s patience, and her brother’s home happens to be far closer to her new school. It’s a win, win situation on Hibiki’s eyes. She gets to stay up into the wee hours of the night playing the latest MMO, or out at her brother’s club. She now works at the Crown Royal Dance Club to help support her living expenses, recreational expenses and pay rent with Naaji. They live in a modest two bedroom apartment a block away from the local high school and the club they both work at.
The most interesting thing to happen in all of Hibiki’s life would be the discovery that she is a Sailor Senshi. The powers began to manifest when she was sixteen years of age in unusually precise balancing abilities that the clumsy teenager was nowhere near before. The young Hibiki took it in stride, applying her newfound balance to mastering the Para Para dance games in the arcade, rather than anything really useful for her talent.
Soon Hibiki found a swelling of power within that she could not put a name to, a need that her pleasure filled life did not yield. She converted her computer know-how into hacking up systems for some ‘grey hat’ hacking, for the common good you know. The need to help was quelled for a while as she sniffed out online predators and DSS hacked down sites she viewed as abominations to morality. Even that provided not to be enough and Hibiki’s first transformation happened in a moment of extreme euphoria at her own brother’s club, rather than a moment of panic or need. She now has discovered the hidden away powers of Sailor Pallas and has the goal of finding her fellows in mind. She’s a real magical girl, just like in her favorite manga!
The Senshi Side of Life
Elemental Power: Sound and Balance
Transformation Phrase: Pallas Quartet Power, Make-up!!
Uniform Description: Pallas' fuku is a generic sailor one of the white fuku, shoulder bands and gloves that end right before her elbows. The back bow, pleated skirt, collar and ending bands to her gloves are all a light powdered blue while her front bow and ankle high boots are a deep blue. She also has an unadorned choker and hair clips in the same dark blue shade.
Attack Name: Aegis Orb Barrage
Description of Attack: Sailor Pallas grins widely as she taps her cheek with a wink before she leaps up into the air in a flash of blue smoke with a boom akin to thunder sounding. While leaping, Sailor Pallas calls out “Aegis!” The glittering cloud of smoke dissolves in a whoosh as Sailor Pallas plummets back down to the ground once more, but now she balances atop a large blue ball. She wobbles a moment, then stands straight and shouts “Orb!” The ball bellow her gives a pulse as if being squashed from atop before Sailor Pallas hops up once more behind the ball to give it a swift kick in the direction of the enemy while shouting, "BARRAGE!" The ball pulses once more as it sails forward, popping open to reveal tons of smaller shaped balls in various sparkling blue hues. When the balls hit an enemy, they burst apart into shards of glass as well as releasing a blast of swirling blue smoke. The shards themselves will only do minor slashes to clothing and skin and the attack as a whole is more for disorienting.
Since most Senshi either have a dramatic long sequence for the first time they use an attack and a short one when battles become intense. Sailor Pallas can just call out the same thing and have the ball drop from the sky before her to skip all of the dramatic jumping before kicking the ball. Depending on the force she wants or has the energy to call makes the ball size vary.

Roleplaying Sample: The Arcade was calling to her. She could feel it. Hear it. A Siren’s songs of 8-bit beeps and blips. The sound of tickets being dispensed and buttons mashed. Oh, how it was calling for her. She had to ignore it. She is professional right now, yeah!
With a huffing noise, Hibiki squared her shoulders and turns her attention back to the laptop resting on her legs. She blinks at the screen and the scrolling numbers, hunching forward as she glances up to make sure none were near. Granted, none could see what happened to be on her screen due to the transparent guard placed there. One would have to get right over her shoulder for such snooping. It was why Hibiki positioned herself further down the bench, seating herself right before the windows to the arcade started.
She chuckles quietly to herself, fingers once more flying over the keys as she tapped into the Arcade’s system. The place happened to be up to date with how they rigged and tracked the various games in the establishment, connecting every game hub to a central system. A system she had taped into with a simple Bluetooth USB drive, the twin now plugged into her laptop’s side. She was such a regular to the arcade that no one took any notice when Hibiki slipped briefly into the back. They had taken notice when she chose to sit outside, rather than waste her coin on the games. Oh well, another day for that.
Clack, clack, clack. Her fingers blazed across the keys as she added a few extra lines of code into the system. The usual display that flashed before each game loaded with the arcade’s logo would have an extra frame. Just a quick flash and a subliminal message to get planted. Only a message to check out a website she had uploaded earlier that day. One that happened to focus all on the happening of the Senshi! Anonymous comments were a go on the site’s forums and already she had a few random souls chime in that they were Senshi, all she had to do was trace their IPs and check them out in person. Brilliant!
Hibiki mentally patted herself on the back as she pressed enter and double-clicked. Uploading! just a few more moment and her code would be in the main system to display her message. Hibiki’s gaze fixated on the upload bar before her eyes. 10% 26% 43% 58% 70% 87% 94%! Hibiki unconsciously leans forward over her laptop as she watches the upload complete, a wide smile spreading her lips. ’I am a genius and a coding god and-‘
*flop* Oh god copy-pasta.
