I have some seriously amazing luck. When I though work had exploded, I wasn't lying. Let's just say we had some kind of convention staying in the hotel which required the cleaning ladies to be extra hard-working. Thankfully, our boss gave me and my friend (and roomie) the day off because he knows we're looking for a new place. He also gave us a few numbers to call (which will be important later on) that would put us in contact with some of the higher-end apartments.
After spending all day calling places, we decided that we'd try a different strategy. One of our friends had recently had a friendly break-up with her boyfriend (once friend/roommate) and was looking for a new place to stay. Being that it was good break-up, he was kind enough to let her stay at the apartment until she found her own place. We called her up, sat down and started talking about maybe just staying where we are now.
Being that my current apartment only has two bedrooms, that didn't seem to work out. No matter how we looked at it, one of us would be getting the short end for being a third of the rent. So, we looked at one of the expensive places my boss had mentioned. Two of them were way too pricey, even with three people. The one we decided one was perfect, except that cable/internet weren't included and we had to pay to use the laundry mat. But, we've figured it all out and even went to check and see if they had any places available.
Come to find out, they had a few. So we visited some and actually found one that didn't have the expensive additions (marble counters, whirlpool tub, hard wood floors, dishwasher, a 'chandler' in the 'eating area', and a breakfast bar being optional additions). We loved the base apartment which, come to find out, was like $300 cheaper or something like that. They did all the checks, reviewed our application (which - between three people - took no time at all to fill out) and called us just now!
We've got the apartment!
We had asked when it would be the best time to move into the new place, the sooner being the better. The manager said that Saturday would give them time to finish the cleaning and touch-ups that come after every apartment is vacated. So, we've called UHAUL, rented ourselves a truck for our major furniture (The small stuff going in my new roomies truck) and are sleeping on air mattresses (borrowed from my loving parents) for the next two nights.
Our internet used to be included in the rent so I'll be able to be online for a while until we start staying at the new place. Our internet at the new apartment will take a couple days to be set up, so I might be away from Saturday into Tuesday. I'm not sure. BUT I felt like good news should be explained.

My new apartment is great. My roomies and i get along beautifully, and we're all doing surprisingly well. I thought we might have some tiffs between my new roomie and my old one (considering they used to hate each other) however it seems they both dated some jerk about two or three years ago and have become good friends over hating him with their whole heart. Girls will be girls, huh? Anyways. Thank you for asking and thank you so much for being so understanding about my writer's block.
