Sakura skated down the street on autopilot after the encounter at the Memorial. She was having trouble getting Kaede off her mind.
'I've never had a girl affect me that way. Something about here is just, wrong. Too bad, she was kinda cute...' Sakura though as she stopped in front of the arcade, looking up at the sign apparently lost in thought. An odd look for her, if someone knew her. Shaking her head, she cleared the thoughts from her mind.
'Forget about it. Next time you see her, just walk off. She doesn't look to be a fighter, so no honor in starting something. Of course, if she starts something...' Sakura grinned at the thought of the girl trying to find her, but it faded quickly. Most likely the girl was all talk. Maybe she coudl find out something via her contacts, though she doubted any of her orphan friends knew about her.
'Still, can't hurt.' Sakura decided, then busted through the door of the arcade like she owned it. A quick glance around found her machine, and a large group of people around it.
"Maximum Tune 5, just what a girl needs." Sakura said allowed to herself as she walked over and chatted casually with a couple of guys (one who tried to pick her up, and another who she had once dated, neither really that bright sadly) before slipping into an empty seat and proceeding to dominate the multiplayer scene.

"Aaaanko-chaaan!" Chiyoko's babyish voice made each word as long as a fire truck's siren, and twice as nasal. With her chubby hand, she pointed out a ufo catcher machine, waving her badly-painted finger wilfly, "let me try it, puh-leeease?" Youenko covered her ear, pressing the pointier bits of her dangling earring into her neck. "Only if you promise to drop the whiny voice. I hear enough of that at work, ok?" she released the earring, then gently rubbed the sore red spot it had created, "and quite calling me Anko, ok? It's not nearly as funny as you think it is."
Chiyoko's round little face lit up mischeviously, and she started to nod along with her half-sister. "Ok, alright, I won't call you by that name," she promised with exagurated somomnity, then flashed her dark eyes up at Youenko's grey ones, "but what if I call you 'Nemi-chan', like your customers at work? Espeically if we run into your teachers... Youenko growled and grabbed the little girl by the hand, pulling her towards the machine. "I already said Okay, alright? No need for blackmail."
She pulled a shiney 500 yen coin from her faux-designer pocketbook, then scooped up Chiyoko so she could put it through the change machine. Youenko let the little girl carefully observe each machine before choosing the one she would surely win from. Tiny and silly though she was, Chiyoko had a knack for the crane machines, and always came home with some sort of new toy.
As a game-centre employee found Chiyoko a little plastic stool to stand on, Youenko surveyed the room for someone to waste her time on. Old men and junior high boys dominated the space, but a few younger characters seemed to be lamenting their loss over the Maximum Tune machines. Some voices were male, but the only leg she could see seemed to be that of a young girl. Even better, Youenko grinned, a selection was always more fun.
"Ne-chan is going to go make some friends, ok?" Youenko told Chiyoko as she slipped off. The three and a half year old snorted in a near perfect imititaion of her sister. "'Ne-chan'?" she rolled her big eyes, "that is so last century." Younko rapped the little girl on the head affectionately, then moved to watch the players wrap up their game. "Wow," she cooed, "that is a really good score, you'll have to teach me sometime." Chiyoko

Sakura grinned as she slid her virtual car across the finish line in a perfect four point drift.
'And that makes fifteen. I need some new blood to come along. I know how all these people play.' Sakura thought as her opponents groaned at yet another win for her. That made Sakura grin even more, but enough was enough.
"Good race man. One of these days you will catch me." Sakura supported the guys ego. It wouldn't do for them to just quit playing, otherwise she wouldn't have anyone to challenge. Just as she was about to slide her seat back and get up, she heard a girl in the crowd mention her score. Turning, Sakura spotted a rather attractive redhead talking to her about the score. Sakura looked at her for a moment, considering if she wanted to deal with someone else new today after the event at the Monument. With just a slight hesitation, she decided that the odds of two bad things were low.
"Thanks. I've played this game for years so I would hope to do pretty good. I would hate to think of all the money I have wasted on this game to not be good." Sakura said, laughing and wearing her trademark grin.
"As for teaching, sure. Have you ever driven a vehicle?" She asked, standing up to let someone else have a turn while she talked. As she stood, she gave the girl a once over.
'She is a bit out of place at this machine. It's not often a girl with her looks wants to hang out with the racers.' Sakura thought as she looked into the girls eyes.
"Name's Midori Sakura, by the way."

Youenko twisted a long, auburn curl around her finger, then tossed it back over her shoulder with a sweet, dark lipped smile, shaking her head. "No, I won't be eighteen until November, so I can't start lessons yet," Youneko replied, then added, "I'm Kaigan Youenko."
This was odd, Youenko thought, this girl was sort of cute, but not exactly her type. So why was she getting this strange feeling, like a light burning at the nape of her neck? The sensation was annoying, yes, but poking and insistant as to its importance, like her step mother urging her to study for a test.
Brushing the sensation aside, Youneko tried to put on her most winning smile for this new aquantence.

Sakura grinned as Youenko mentioned not being able to drive because she wasn't eighteen.
'Such an innocent thought. Cute.' Sakura thought as she thought about how long she herself had been driving.
"Fair enough. Mostly I learned what I do in this game in an actual car. Real experience helps a lot with things such as this." Sakura motioned toward the machine. For a moment, her attention was split between the game and the girl in front of her. Something about her felt familiar.
'She isn't from the shelter, and I highly doubt her and I ran around together. She is older than me as well.' Sakura started sorting data away in her head before turning back to Youenko.
"Well, let's not worry about that. What game brings you to the arcade?"

Youenko watched a condescending expression flicker across Sakura's face and felt the back of her neck prickle with iritation. What was this little peasant thinking? All the same, she kept her expression sweet and didn't let her lips thin into a grimace. She tossed her head in the direction of Chiyoko's manipulation of the mechanincal claw and replied, "My little sister is a master of the UFO catcher, she's picking out some new friends."
As if on queue, Chiyoko returned, her left arm brimming with stuffed animals and anime characters. In her right she held something that didn't fit with her cute, cuddly creatures. "Aaannkooo-chaaaan," she droned, taking delight in each dragged out word, "this one isn't cute, make them trade me for something better". She jutted her chubby hand in the air, showing her big sister the unwanted prize.
Youenko took the item and examined it. It was a glossy, red pen with a gilded gold lid. She turned it over in her hand and saw a few glitterery charms handing from the lid. "I don't know, I think its sort of cute," she mumbled, momentarily forgetting her new aquaintence.

Sakura turned to where she motioned about her sister and nodded. Indeed it seemed Youenko wasn't joking. Sakura had only won a couple of things out of those machines before, and this little girl had blown her own ability away.
"Wow! You are excellent at that game." Sakura said, looking at all the cute dolls in the little girls hand. For a moment, she didn't look at the object the girl didn't want until Youenko mentioned it. Turning, Sakura's eyes grew wide.
"Um...yeah...it is definitely cute as well. Looks very valuable even." Sakura said, giving the area a quick perimeter scan. IF that was what it looked like, having it in the open wasn't a good idea. Sakura's own hand was in her pocket, holding onto her own pen.

Youenko examined the pen a little more closely then nodded at Sakura, "You're probably right, it might be one of those tricky designer prizes it the machines closer to the til. Hey, if you don't want it, kiddo, I'll take it. I need to pick up some new school supplies anyways," Youenko reached for the unwanted toy, only to have it pulled away quickly. Aware that both bigger girls had taken an interest in the pen, Chiyoko suddenly wasn't so sure that she wanted to part with it. Obviously, there was something about it that made big girls like it that she didn't understand. Could this shiney pen be... cool?
"I don't know," Chiyoko said slowly, "I think I might want it after all... for my drawings." Youenko groaned, looking to Sakura for support. "I'll get you a greatbig box of crayons, alright? The kind with a sharpener," she knew hwere her little sister's sudden interest in the pen came from, but was some what confused by her own. She was pleased when Chiyoko seemed ready to be bribed. "You can have it once I get my crayons," she decided firmly. Youenko rolled her eyes then nodded, "Ok, let'sgo find some," she began to usher the child out of the arcade, "then, we have to get home to start dinner," she paused at the door and glanced back at Sakura, "bye, good meeting yah."

Sakura listened to the banter from the girl and her sister about crayons and remembered playing with crayons when she was younger.
'Those were the days. Easy times with no major worries.' She thought before being addressed by Youenko.
"Good meeting you as well. I'm sure we will meet again." Sakura offered as the girl left. Turning to look back into the arcade, Sakura sighed and decided it was time to jet. She still had books to pick up.
