“And so it begins…”[/center]
Welcome players, to the re-opening of Shattered Kingdom! It’s been a crazy two weeks trying to get everything together for this big day! You may officially begin playing and the boards are now your oyster to dabble your creative juices.
A Youma Attacks Crystal Tokyo Today
It’s spring! The dawning of the new year! As the winter snows melt away to spring, Japan is bustling with the aftermath of Valentine’s Day delights. Girls have given chocolates away to their heart throbs, love is abound in the air and offices…and at 10:21 this morning a creature known as the “Love Me Lurker” attacked several guards at the Crystal Tokyo Palace, draining them of their energy and causing aggressive behavior out of them at the same time.
It was an astounding display of horror and awe as the Queen managed to step out to the front gates and vanquish the creature before anymore harm could come to them. While the monster seemed easy enough to deal with, the look on the Queen’s face was as clear as day: Something is now lurking in Japan once again. The news cast was able to capture this entire battle for all to see on prime time news. Did you happen to catch it on the television this afternoon?
Objectives
Later today each of your main accounts will be receiving a PM from the administration called an objective. These are designed to give you a new writing challenge while progressing the story further. Objectives are arbitrary participation; meaning you don’t have to do them, but you will be rewarded for your efforts if you do.
You will be given two objectives to choose from. Unfortunately, completing both will not warrant you double the points. It’s an either / or situation. And, unless it’s a timed objective, you will not be able to change out for new ones each month.
The objectives are randomly drawn from a cup. Each of you will be individually given your own random objectives, so no one will end up with the same exact two. Once you complete the objective, simply send us a PM with links to where we can see its completion and when the next month begins we’ll send you new objectives. The reward for any completed objectives will be Progression Points. The amount depends on the difficulty of the objective.
Progression Points
So what are Progression Points? Click on THIS LINK HERE to read up on them in full. Basically they’re a new system implemented to reward players who remain consistent within the game in addition to progressing the game forward. They are used to buy character spaces to apply for more, and leveling up or adding new skills to your character’s attack arsenal. This allows for complete customization of your character based on the choices you make on how to spend them.
To say “Thank you!” to our players for making a return and applying for characters, we will be giving away some of these Progression Points right off the bat.
For all players who have turned in an application and have been APPROVED prior to February 19th, you will earn 25 Progression Points. This includes any and all applications that are still in the critiquing process. If you got your application turned in for critique before 02-19-10 and eventually get approved even after the deadline, we will honor the reward.
Players Post Your Votes!
You may have noticed on the forums that there is a section called “Awards” that has icons with Member, Character, and Thread listed. This is considered our Player / Character / Thread of the Month awards. There are multiple methods of having a chance to be honored in those places. This month we will be performing a poll.
You can only vote once per player, and you cannot vote for yourself under any circumstance.
Question #1: Which character is currently your personal favorite?
This includes not only all approved characters, but the ones in the “Pending” section as well.
Question #2: Which returning character has improved the most since the last game?
We understand this one is a little unfair to those who are applying for new characters, but there will be something for you guys next month we promise! In the meantime, here is where we stored the original character applications from the last game to compare to.
You all have until Sunday, February 28th to get your votes in. All votes need to be submitted via PM to the Administration account so that results remain hidden until it is time to reveal them.
Good luck to all of our players out there!
Just a Reminder
There are a few websites we would like to poke you about and make sure you’ve read. Even though THE RULES seem the same, they have been altered quite a bit. Please re-read them in full if you haven’t since the last incarnation of the game.
Currently all Planetary and Mirror Senshi are only at half of their power level. Meaning the Shitennou are actually stronger in magical prowess over them since their powers have not been split in half. Make sure to read up on the SHITENNOU FACTION so that you have an idea of what things will be like in battle.
For all of our veteran players who have not posted application yet, we ask that you READ OUR POST on getting a “Work in Progress” application thrown into the Pending slot so that you can maintain a semi-claim on a character you plan on applying for.
YOU MAY BEGIN!
