We are POP*CANDY
Smiles suit us so
Let's UKI-UKI
Character Name: Chuushin Kouin
Senshi Name: Sailor Pluto
Age: 15
Birthdate: June 19th
Personality: Kouin seems to be a perfect example of an optimist. She is rather cheerful and is almost always smiling and tends to be a pretty enthusiastic girl. She can be a little bit of a crybaby and tends to act kind of childish, that impression deepened by her childish looks. She is the type of person that loves spending time with other people, and while not really outgoing as it were, she's not typically a shy person.
Although she's not the type to let the little things get to her (unless it involves ruining her favorite curry, of course!), she tends to stress out a lot when things take a serious turn for the worse. Kouin isn't the type who can really handle stressful situations and tends to freak out. If things get really bad, she shuts down completely. She can't handle traumatic events, even as a witness. Seeing one will force her memory to automatically purge the event- often taking other things along with it.
Typically a cheerful girl, Kouin does sometimes give off a weird creepy vibe. It's possibly related to the fact that her mother is an ex-delinquent and all. While harmless, she still can give people the chills. Whether or not she realizes this isn't exactly clear. She also tends to be just a little bit of a closet pervert, and has a bit of a fondness for shonen-ai and cute crossdressing boys.
Physical Appearance: Standing at four feet, nine inches, Kouin is very much short for her age. Oft mistaken for a little child, she is of average weight for her height. Her hair is a mop of bubblegum pink, a wavy mess that reaches her shoulders. Her eyes are blue and her skin is a healthy peach tone. She loves the color blue and is often found dressed in clothing of that color, along with layers. She also posses a large collection of bags that she always carries with her.
Strengths: She's a very supportive friend and is a good shoulder to lean on, though she's not so good with the advice, she's always someone you can talk to and can depend on for comfort. She's a very creative person who is good at making up all kinds of stories, thus making her a good liar as well. She's willing to stick up for her friends, but isn't blind enough not to know when it's her friends that are at fault.
Weaknesses: Kouin has problems with drifting off into daydream land, as well as being rather clumsy. She has a tendency to leave behind important things at crucial moments. She's horrible at studying, the kind of person to always end up studying everything that's NOT on the test. As a senshi, her attack leaves her dependent on other people. Her memory loss, without a doubt, is her greatest weakness, as there is no telling what memories she might loose next.
Dreams: At the moment, Kouin doesn't really have a dream persay. She thinks she might like to be a writer, but isn't confident in her skills.
Habits: Kouin, when she's bored, has developed the involuntary habit of taping her fingers against any surface she can find. If she picks up a book in the bookstore to skim over, she usually gets so engrossed that she just stands there until she's read the entire thing.
Background:
Kouin is a member of a very large family, consisting of three older brothers, her parents, aunt, uncle, and younger cousin. She is closest to her cousin Midori, mother Kotoko, and middle older brother Yuki, though they are all very close, but they are not without their usual arguments and feuds as any normal family has. Her father is a teacher at a local elementary school, teaching Japanese, while her mother is a cook at a small restaurant (although she used to be a pretty famous delinquent in her younger days).
Her life growing up was fairly normal, at least, for someone with such a big family. Her aunt and uncle fell on hard times when Kouin was three, so they, with their daughter have been living with the Chuushin family ever since. Kouin doesn't mind, she thinks it's great to have so many people around. Her life continued in this normal, though crowded, fashion until she was ten years old, and was involved in a car accident. She was in the car with her aunt and her older brother Yuki, when a malfunction in another car caused her aunt to have to veer out of the way only to slam hard into another car that she hadn't seen before. The driver of the car her aunt hit died almost instantly, but the Chuushin siblings, their aunt, and the driver of the malfunctioning car managed to survive. Her aunt, however, was severely crippled and lost her ability to walk.
While physically she recovered fully in about two months, there was some mental damage left behind. This wasn't discovered until the day of accident a year later, when Kouin's memory simply reset itself. Everything past the car accident on up to that point was lost to her. While this was the last time such a major reset happened, occasionally her memory has been known to give out on her to varying degrees. Kouin had never been very good at handling stressful or traumatic situations to begin with, and it's been thought that she saw something during the accident that triggered the problem.
While Kouin has perfect memory of her life prior to the accident, the year after it, when she was eleven has been totally lost to her. It's believed it was triggered by her witnessing another car accident on or near the same day that caused the initial rewrite to happen. It's believed that some form of repressed trauma from the original accident causes this to happen every time she witness something that is too much to stand. Her mind simply seems to automatically reject it and refuses to input into her memory. It seems as if to help this process along, it also takes with it things that might seem too closely related.
Because of this, it seems as if Kouin's family has become more protective of her, especially her older brothers, and even more so with her brother Yuki. If anything, the accident brought an already tight knit family even closer to each other.
At this point, she has not awakened as a Senshi yet.
The Senshi Side of Life
Elemental Power: Time
Transformation Phrase: Pluto Power, Make Up!
Uniform Description: As Sailor Pluto, Kouin's fuku is the standard Sol. Black is her main color, while her bows are color burgundy. Her boots resemble the original Sailor Pluto's, sans the white stripe.
Attack Name: Frozen Mind's Time
Description of Attack: Sailor Pluto closes her eyes and raises her hands in front of her chest, cupping them and chanting the attack name. A garnet orb of energy expands from it and covers the area around her target. The person who is caught in this isn't frozen in time, rather they have their perception of time slowed down, essentially causing them to react in much slower than they would normally. It is a very short lived power, though and at most, can only stay in place for a total of twenty seconds. It's also possible to dodge it, since it's sent out in the form of an energy orb.

Roleplaying Sample: Kouin let out a content sigh as she shut the book she was reading, giving a small smile as she hugged it a bit to her chest. "Auuu~ That was great!" She said, moving to wipe a small tear from her eye. "And here I was worried it wasn't going to have a happy ending!"
Gleefully, she moved the book away from her chest, starting to look through the rest of the books. She paused then, thinking that something was rather odd, and she quickly realized what it was. Despite the fact that it was morning when she had come to the bookstore, it was now getting dark outside. "Uwaaa!" She exclaimed, drawing attention from other patrons in the bookstore. "No way! It's already this late!? Ahhh, I did it again!" She threw up her hands in frustration, tossing the book up into the air.
Which of course, promptly landed on her head, causing her to let on an exclamation of pain. "Auuu~" She whined, rubbing her head. "Mom's going to be mad at me again." She hung her head, dreading going home now. But she knew that the more she delayed, the more trouble she would be in. Not to mention that she had a mile to get back home, in the dark now to boot!
Heaving another sigh, she picked up her book, going to buy it, before she left the bookstore.
