GIVE SADNESS A SAILOR SMILE
As thought, I worried
What the heck is going on in the world today?
Miserable chaos
Everywhere is more unjust than before
BRING A MIRACLE, A SAILOR WING
Character Name: Himura Hiyoke
Name Meaning: Protection against a fire in a scarlet village
Age: 18
Birthdate: January 23rd
EVERYONE CARRIES A SHINING STAR
Personality: Hiyoke is a bit of an eccentric to those who don’t take the time to get to know her. She comes off as a monotonous, emotionless individual, though this is only half right. While she does speak with a constant monotone, she’s actually got a bit of depth to her once you get used to her casual form of speech. She is a very relaxed, easy-going individual who enjoys just being herself and not necessarily conforming to the rules of society. It is because of this that Hiyoke is viewed as odd by most, though she has her own charms.
Always willing to give something a good try at least once, Hiyoke enjoys having new experiences, even if she ends up not liking them. She is very easy to get along with and finds herself comfortable with most people, and most people find her relaxed and casual nature easy to get along with as well. Couple this with her friendly personality, Hiyoke is generally a good, fun person to have around. She finds that being surrounded by people who care make up for the fact that her parent’s don’t seem to.
On top of that, Hiyoke can be sarcastic and snarky at times, but given her monotonous form of speech, this can come off as a little strange. She is also prone to making really bad puns from time to time. More over, she has a tendency to bottle up her true emotions to the point that she doesn’t even realize what she’s feeling anymore…and that sometimes leads to bad things. She is prone to random fits or explosions of severe depression or extreme anger. Plus, Hiyoke tends to run away from her problems instead of facing them, so much that she usually supplements the things she is lacking with other things, such as surrounding herself with people. This is to the extreme where she doesn’t even realize it.
Strengths: Easy-going, relaxed, perceptive, doesn’t worry too much, confident, friendly.
Weaknesses: Snarky/sarcastic, monotonous, bottles up emotions, smoker’s lungs, tends have emotional explosions, runs away from her problems.
Dreams: Right now, Hiyoke really doesn’t…have a dream. She has no need or desire to be wealthy or famous, she would rather be comfortable with her life and be happy then to have either of those things. On the side, she is an excellent photographer and would love to do it as her job, but doesn’t really aspire to become something she may never reach.
Habits: Hiyoke loves cigarettes. LOVES them. Sure, they smell like crap and they’re horrible for her health, but she loves to smoke. It has nothing to do with her addiction, just the enjoyment she gets from it. She’s ridiculously sarcastic and highly monotonous, so a lot of the time people can’t read her emotions. Also, while sitting still, she tends to jiggle her leg or strum her fingers.
Likes: Photography (her past-time and life-calling), cigarettes, her little kitten, relaxing/hanging out, leather (whether it be pants, jackets or accessories!), action/horror movies, The Takarazuka, animals.
Dislikes: Exceedingly happy/peppy/energetic individuals, sappy movies/chick flics, stressful things, rude/prissy/snotty people, not having anything to do, soap operas, uptight people, animal cruelty.
History: Hiyoke lived kind of an estranged life. Her parents were never really there for her growing up, as both of them where work-a-holics. While growing up, she began to resent them for never caring for her; never scolding her when she did something bad or holding her when she needed it, but in truth they both worked so hard to provide her with a good education and a comfortable life-style.
Hiyoke became enclosed within herself during these times, keeping her emotions inside and finding comfort in photography and surrounding herself with her friends to supplement what her parents did not give her. It is because of this that Hiyoke began to detach herself emotionally from others, and her monotone began to build after that point. It would take a lot of cracking to get her to change, especially if someone made her realize what she is doing to herself because her parents weren’t really there.
Another form of comfort that Hiyoke found was a gift she gave to herself, a little kitten. Although her parents disapproved at first, their bottled emotions for their daughter allowed her to keep it. Hiyoke continues through school and hopes to go to an art school to better her craft in photography, and soon move out, away from her distant parents. Still, her life wasn’t too horrible; upper-middle class, enough to live comfortably for most of her life.
