After the small meeting at the candy ship Sumiko had dropped her little sisters off at home. Since Jun was home she was able to get little break from "work" - well at least that would it felt like. Everything in Sumiko's life since was a little girl had been nothing more then a job. Not that she complained much about it. However, it was nice to get break from it all.
She sighed as she entered the cafe`. She sat down at a table in the far corner. Before the waitress came to her table she looked through her daily planner to see just how much time she had before she had to head back home and relieve Jun from the receptionist desk.
The server arrived at the table. "Hello Ms what would you like?" she said after a polite bow.
"Yes, I'd like some chocolate mocha and a chocolate chip muffin please." she said with a calm smile.
The waitress jotted down her order then hurried off to the kitchen. With that Sumiko opened her shoulder bag and pulled the news paper that she had bought earlier. She flipped over the section that raved about the main head line of the day, “The break in at Palace.” Yep, Hibiki is really rubbing off on me... this is the only reason why I would take interest in this.

Choosing the right clothes had taken some time, but by the time she'd left the mall, it had been raining for quite a while. She'd hopped on a bus to avoid the rain, but when she'd gotten off, it was raining even more. "Ahhh, my clothes are going to get wet!" she gasped, clamping her shopping bag shut. She'd changed out of the blouse Bao-Yu had given her once she'd left the punk woman, but still didn't know how her new date clothes were going to be affected by the rain. Stifling a curse under her breath, she darted into the Cafe Amigo.
Once inside, she let out a sigh of relief, shaking the rainwater off her shopping bag. Glancing around, she panicked a little, noting she was nearby a heavy crowd, and sought out a less crowded area--which just happened to be in Sumiko's area. For a moment, the girl didn't really want to sit with anyone, but...
Social. I have to be more friendly! That was what Yuki would suggest, right?
Shyly, she headed up to Sumiko's table. "U-um! Do you mind if I sit with you...?" she asked, feeling her cheeks heating up. Ahhh, maybe she should have worded it differently...

Sumiko put down her news paper, and smiled politely at the short burette. "Sure," she said as she put the news paper back inside her bag. "Have a seat. The place is pretty crowded from the rain." Sumiko was amazed at how quickly the place had gotten packed. “My name’s Masahiro Sumiko by the way. Might I as ask your name?”

Kyoutei offered a bow and a quiet "thank you" as the white-haired woman let her sit with her. She slid into the booth, sitting across from the older woman, placing her shopping bag against the wall. Awkwardly, she fiddled with her hands, trying to find a topic of interest and wondering if she should just leave. Aaaah, I'm sure this lady wouldn't want to be sitting with some kid anyways... she thought, torn out of her most recent self-berating when the woman introduced herself.
"U-um! I'm Aijouno Kyoutei. I-it's really nice to meet you, Masahiro-san!" she stammered out, shutting her eyes and blushing again. At realizing she wasn't going to be laughed at though, she carefully peeked her eyes open, catching a glimpse of the newspaper.
Despite knowing better, she found herself speaking aloud and wanting to be nosy. "What are you reading, anyways...?"

"Oh, just the newspaper, there was the head line about the break in at the palace. You know its stuff like that that shows how just how easy it is to penetrate our defenses." Sumiko replied.
The waitress returned the table, and placed Sumiko's order down. She turned to Kyoutei. "And will there be anything for you Ms?" She asked.

"I heard about that..." Kyoutei mumbled in response to the break in. She remembered hearing about it on the raido when she was brushing her teeth this morning, and frowned a little. For a moment, she recalled Luna, and tried to ignore the onset of guilt she had. Maybe she could have been able to help--no, she couldn't think about that. The thought of being a sailor senshi was scary...
At the waitress's question, Kyoutei blushed. She considered asking for cookies, or maybe a smoothie but that was pretty kidlike, wasn't it? The desire to leave a good impression on Sumiko compelled her to answer with "A-ah, some coffee please. A-and, um, a blueberry muffin." As the waitress smiled and left, Kyoutei glanced at Sumiko's order--and was somewhat surprised at all the chocolate.
"Wow...you really like chocolate, huh?" she asked, her tone just slightly surprised.

"It's a weakness," Sumiko replied with a guilty smile. "So are you in school?" she asked. She noticed that the girl had ordered coffee; not something a young teen would order. The taste of coffee in Sumiko's opinion was something that grew on you. She took a small bite out of her muffin, as she did this. She couldn’t help but think that Kyoutei reminded her of her little sister Rika. She was so shy like her. It was cute.

At the topic of school, Kyoutei nodded, her ribbons bobbing up and down as she did so. "A-ah! Yes, I go to the high school..." she murmured. "You must be...in college, I guess?" she attempted to guess, uncertain if she was right. The young woman looked around Yuki's age...
The girl shifted uncomfortably as she saw crowds edging closer towards their table, but put it out of her head. No need to worry about it, right? Nervously, she looked out the window to see the storm was dying down. Ah, hopefully it won't rain when I walk home...
