Shinkirou's day had started out normally.
Then he chanced upon information that Yuki had a girlfriend.
After laughing for a good few minutes straight, the redhead had, in horror, learned it was true. His surprise had turned into planning, however, and he grinned deviously. Hmmm. I suppose he does need a method of congratulations... he thought as he headed into a convenience store nearby, whistling a little tune.
-
"Oiii, Yuki-chan~" Shinkirou said sometime later, waltzing into the ramen shop with ease, a small plastic bag in hand. He ignored the glares from the other workers, smirking and heading over in Yuki's direction. "Heard you landed yourself a girlfriend. Good for you, man." he said cheerfully, just before he reached into the plastic bag and flung a box of condoms at Yuki's head.
"Consider this a visit from the condom fairy." he said quietly with a small chuckle, winking, "Don't use them all at once now~"

Just as Kouin had said, Yuki was on Cloud Nine.
Humming to himself as he worked, he looked as if he was in his own little world. He had finally gotten a girlfriend! A real one too, not just some random floozy who wanted to bang him because his reputation made him badass or something, but a real, honest to goodness girlfriend! He really didn't see how things could get any better.
And then he heard him, and realized that if things couldn't get any better, they sure as hell could get worse.
"Shinkirou." He hissed, his good eye narrowing as he glared at him. He was about to snap at him, before he tossed the box of condoms at him. Catching it without thinking, it took him a moment before he realized just what it was, and went as white as a sheet.
"Oi, oi!" He yelled, tossing aside the box into the trash. "Condom fairy my ass. Some of us want something more from a relationship than a quick job in bed." How the hell did he find out about this anyways?

"Ah, Yuki-chan, you're so cruel~!" Shinkirou said theatrically as Yuki tossed the box of condoms into the trash. "And here I was acting out of the goodness of my heart!" he added, then rolled his eyes as the slightly taller young man mentioned some people wanted more in their relationships.
"Whaaat? That's boring, man." he scoffed, taking a seat at an empty table and keeping his gaze on Yuki. "Anyways, what's she like? She's gotta have guts or something to be willing to go out with you, mister Gray Demon. What'd you wrangle, a yakuza princess or something?" he laughed, leaning back in his chair.
"Ah, and I'll take a tonkotsu ramen." he added after a moment, almost as if he'd forgotten this was a restraunt.

"Shinkirou, you never do anything out of the goodness of your heart." Yuki said, arching an eyebrow. No, if Shinkirou tried to make a nice gesture (which the box of condoms clearly wasn't) it usually meant that he either wanted something, or was up to no good.
Typically both.
"Yeah, sorry if I actually like girls as more than bangbuddies." He rolled his eye, heaving a sigh as it seemed that Shinkirou was going to stick around. "And why is this any of your business anyways? We aren't friends anymore, if you remember."
He did, however, grudgingly call his order in. Asshole or not, at least he was a paying customer. "But she's a really nice girl. The type that you would never get in a million years."
"And she's not a yakuza princess." He added.

The fall air was nice and crisp this time of year! Bao-yu never let these types of days pass her by when the weather was so nice and cool to the point of chilly. Today she was with another senior classmate representative who wanted to chat with her about one of the upcoming school festivals a couple months away. Figuring it would be a good idea to hit up the district street for inspiration, Bao-yu and the other girl made their way down that area to visit the shops and poke around. Some places seemed better off than others, but neither girl seemed to have a care or a worry as they traversed the individual businesses and occasionally picked up a few souvenirs for presentation purposes to the student council later.
“I think the American tourist booth might be a popular kiosk if we get the right merchandise, Vice President Koekami,” the girl replied happily as she cuddled her little Disney plush toy before attaching the thing to her school bag, “What do you think?”
There was a look of approval on Bao-yu’s face as she nodded and continued onward, “I agree. Maybe this year’s theme could be something a bit more global given the nature of recent business negotiations between Japan and some of its foreign partners. They’re more solidified these days, so perhaps we can do something in celebration of this new age of economics.”
The girls continued chatting a bit about foreign business politics a little before they approached a ramen shop. The girl gasped happily before nudging Bao-yu, “Look! This was the place I was telling you about! C’mon, let’s grab a bite to eat!”
Feeling the rumble in her stomach, it was an easy negotiation to agree to. The two Crystal Tokyo High School students made their way toward the shop and observed one of the workers talking with another patron. However, by simple observation it didn’t seem like the employee was all that happy to see the other gentlemen there. In fact, the last few words caught were “And she’s not a yakuza princess”
“Oh my,” the other girl replied in overhearing the last bit of that verbal exchange. A hand slightly covered over her mouth as she stared at Yuki with embarrassment to some extent. Bao-yu’s expression remained stoic, however, to the statement and she simply kept a pleasant smile on her face, “You fluster pretty easily, don’t you Chisato-san?”
“Eh,” Chisato wavered her hands a little, “Not…really. I just didn’t mean to butt in on a conversation like this.”
“I guess you would be correct,” replied Bao-yu before she turned her attention to Yuki, “Hope we’re not interrupting, but my friend says that this place is very special to her and wanted to share the experience with me. Would it be possible to place an order with you despite your current altercation?” The girl wasn’t one to beat around the bush with requests. Despite the tone of her voice being extremely cordial, the words were designed to spark a hint at the employee that perhaps his conversation topic wasn’t appropriate in front of other customers.
“I’ll pay for the food, Vice President,” Chisato started digging for her wallet, but Bao-yu waved gingerly at the fellow representative.
“This one’s on me,” she said with a kind smile before looking up at the menu to see what she would want to order in the first place. Commoner food was somewhat limiting, but this place seemed to have some decent amount of choices to choose from. Her bright aqua blue eyes flickered about as she listened intently to the employee.

"Ah." Yuki paused, realizing that more people had started to come in now. He flushed a slight shade of red as he turned away from Shinkirou to the two female customers, honestly just glad for some sort of distraction from the irritating playboy.
"Ah, I'm sorry about that. That wouldn't be a problem at all." He apologized, smiling at them. He glanced around, wondering where the waitress was, and figured she must have taken an early break. They didn't get a whole lot of customers around this time of day anyways.
"One moment." He went to the front for a second and came back with two menus, handing them to both of them. "Please take your time."

Shinkirou had been ready to make another comment when Yuki's bluntness that they weren't friends anymore delivered an unexpected sting. He quickly stifled the feeling down, ignoring it and frowning. 's not like he actively tries to push me away, anyways. he thought, rolling his eyes. He was about ready to say something again when Bao-yu came in. He blinked at her cordial tone. Well. he thought, glancing briefly over at her, It's not too hard to tell how she was raised. Agh, I hate rich kid snobs--
The young man was smart enough to keep his trap shut for now, but the look he gave Yuki was one that suggested the young man would get it much worse once the other customers were gone. He grinned in satisfaction at the thought, leaning back in his chair and waiting for his order. Belatedly, he hoped Yuki didn't try to poison his food or something like that--it hadn't happen yet, but Shinkirou was loathe to press his luck too much.

Accepting the menus happily, Bao-yu and Chisato made their way over to an area where they could sit down and peruse the choices. Chisato, however, seemed more uneasy and kept her gaze on the guy that had quite the smug look on her face. Noticing this discomfort in the representative, Bao-yu replied, “I’m thinking of getting the shoyu ramen, what about you?”
“Oh!” she squeaked before turning her attention back to the menu, “Th-that sounds great, Koekami-san! I think I’ll have miso ramen instead.”
With a nod, the vice president took her menu and smiled, “Perhaps we should eat at my place. That way we can plan things out better.”
There was a bit of relief in Chisato’s expression as she nodded and the two girls made their way back to the counter. Setting the menus back down in front of Yuki, she put up two fingers with a polite smile, “Two ramen bowls, one shoyu and one miso…to go, please.”
This time Bao-yu stuck around, intended to remain in Yuki’s presence while she waited for her food to come. Patting a chair next to her, she beckoned Chisato to plop down and chat with her while they both waited. “How’s business been for you guys?” Bao-yu kicked up a conversation to make a point to Chisato’s shyness.

"Right, I'll get those right up for you girls." Yuki grinned, taking the menus from them. He glanced over at Shinkirou. "And I guess you too." He shrugged, just grateful he was being quiet for now, though he did wonder how long that would last. Putting the menus away, he headed back to the kitchen, tugging his goggles down over his eyes as he set to work.
The restaurant, as it was, was set up so that people could see the main section of the kitchen from the dining room. It was a bit hard to hear into the dining room over the clatter of the kitchen typically, but there wasn't much going on in the back at the moment. Although part of him seemed to think that Bao-Yu might have mistaken him for a waiter, but he wasn't going to press the issue. It wasn't like it was anything to be offended by.
"Ah, business is pretty good, actually. People will always come 'round to eat good, cheap food, you know?" Yuki grinned at Bao-Yu, then laughed a little as he glanced around. "Well, I'm afraid we're not quite that busy at the moment, but this has always been kind of a business lull time for us. Not a bad thing, though. Gives the rest of the staff some time to eat and go on break. "

Bao-yu listened intently as the man responded to her conversation. However, part way through it her phone alarm sounded a light-hearted jingle. “Oh! Excuse me!” she replied to Yuki as she pulled it out to check the message. She had nearly forgotten the time and knew that she’d have to wrap things up pretty quickly with Chisato.
“Ah, oh my-,” she started saying before looking at her friend, “I have another appointment that I need to go to. I was having so much fun I lost track of time.”
The other girl giggled and gave her a polite wave, “It’s not a problem Koekami-san I understand you’re a busy girl.”
“I’m afraid I’ll have to grab and go, Chisato-san. But don’t worry, we’ll get together again and plan this festival theme out more over the course of this week.” With that, she pulled out her wallet; her brain had already calculated the cost of the orders plus tax and a twenty percent tip, fished for the money and set it on the countertop. “If you could box mine up as soon as it’s ready. I’m afraid I have to dash.”

Yuki paused as one of the girls got a call, but didn't take his attention off the ramen. From the looks of it, he was glad that he had started on this girl's first, since it looked like something had come up. His suspicions were confirmed when she turned to him and asked him to box the food.
"Yeah, sure, that's no problem miss." Yuki gave her his best customer service type smile. "Yours will probably be finished in a few moments." He glanced over toward her friend then. "Would you still like yours here, or would you like me to box yours up as well?"
Shinkirou's ramen, of course, was being saved for last. He wondered in the back of his mind if he could get away with making it super spicy. It would be amusing, of course, since he knew that the redhead wasn't very fond of spicy foods.

"Thank you," is all Bao-yu replied with a happy smile as she exchanged the appropriate amount of money with a nearby cashier and would grab her food and head out as soon Yuki set it down. Meanwhile Chisato simply shook her head and replied to the guy, "No, I think I'll head home as well. Please box mine, thank you!"
Somehow Bao-yu couldn't help but smile at how timid the class rep was. How was she selected in the first place? No matter, there were things to do and the girl was extremely nice with good ideas. Perhaps that's what lured people to nominate her. Either that, or they pawned off the job on someone who obviously would never reject the suggestion in order to save face and avoid confrontation of any kind.

That bastard was saving him for last.
That did not made Shinkirou happy. In fact, it pissed him off, and really made him want to start something. Unfortunately for him, the rich snob and her mousy friend were still around, and Shinkirou wasn't feeling up to being lectured at in that wordy way of hers. His smirk had lessened into an irritated glare, and he tried desperately to ignore the pangs of hunger in his stomach. Should have eaten sooner... he thought, frowning.
When the two girls were gone, the redhead muttered a "finally" under his breath and looked over at Yuki, glaring at him. "Oi~ You have another customer, you know." he snapped out, hunger making him even more of a pain in the ass than he normally was. "You'd better not be doing anything weird to my food!"

"Not a problem at all!" Yuki grinned at the two ladies, and hurried to finish their orders, getting them boxed up in short order. "Here you are. I hope you ladies enjoy, and come back some time." He continued to smile at them, waiting until they were back out the door to turn back to Shinkirou, about to snap something at him.
As soon as he did, however, his phone beeped, indicating that he had mail. Frowning, he paused to open it, wondering what it could be. As he saw the photo and the attached message, however, he turned a bright shade of red, showing up even on his darker skin. "Ah!"

Bastard, don't you ignore me like this--
Shinkirou frowned more and more as Yuki cheerily ignored his presence, again feeling the sting from earlier, when Yuki had said they weren't friends. It only served to make him more irritated, and furiously, he stifled the feeling again and refused to acknowledge it. It's just the lack of food. 's making me cranky.
That's what he told himself, anyways.
He noticed how Yuki looked ready to snap at him--only to be interrupted by his phone--and was about to comment that checking his phone on the job was pretty damn rude...only to see that the young man was blushing. Craning his head, he caught a glimpse of the attached picture and leaned forward.
Now, he meant to compliment the girl. The girl was mousy but adorable, in that cutesy sort of way. Of course, what came out was--
"Haha, so that's your girlfriend." he said, letting out an impressed whistle. "She looks like she'd be my type." he commented, and then without thinking, added, "I should find out." The redhead was unaware of the taunting smirk that crossed his face, but probably wouldn't have cared anyways.
Probably.
