"Ohhhh?" Meido drew out the curious sound before giggling, leaning over the table a little to look at the options. It seemed as if she'd just dove into the whole deal without a single reservation for casually butting into someone else's life like this. This sweet girl was Yuki's girlfriend after all, that practically made her family, didn't it?
The logical fallacy that assumption entailed wasn't about to stop her, either.
"A quiet dinner for two sounds like the best in that case," she announced with a firm nod since Kyoutei did seem to be gunning for that sort of thing. Sure she said she didn't want to deal with 'crowded', but just about any girl could read the true intent of words like those. "So ro~man~tic~!"

Kouin's grin grew as it seemed Kyoutei had decided to finally give in to letting them help. "Oh, Mei-nee!" She said brightly, grinning over at her blonde friend. "That sounds just wonderful." She could see it now, even. It was so perfect! They were just like a couple from one of her shoujo manga, but cuter.
"Let's see what we have for that..." Kouin trailed off as she looked through the assorted magazines. "This looks nice!" She said, opening up one of them. "It's a place that serves French food." She told them, grinning as she let them see the full page spread. "It's supposed to bring good luck to couples who go on their first dates there. If they get a seat by the fountain, it means they'll be together forever!"
She paused a little and glanced back at the page again herself. "Hm, it's a bit pricey though. I wonder if Yuki-nii could manage it." Besides that, it did seem like the perfect place. After a moment, something seemed to dawn on her, and she took the magazine back, turning red herself. "Oh! This is the restaurant where mom works!"
Ohh~ Maybe they could score a discount!

The blonde nodded enthusiastically at the alternate suggestion, briefly looking rather akin to a particularly energetic bobblehead. Maybe one day, when she could get her sensei to look upon her as a real woman, they'd be able to go there. Oh, but wouldn't that be perfect? For a moment, it seemed she'd drifted off into a reverie involving fancy dresses and tuxedos and a quiet dinner alone with sensei before she managed to cause that line of thought screeching to a halt at Kouin pointing out the other restaurant.
She shook her head abruptly, zeroing back in on target.
"We~ell," the older girl began, clearly considering this with all due seriousness the lovelife of a complete stranger and Kouin's brother required. Clearly, she was catching onto her friend's line of thought--scoring a discount would be perfect. "Super luck is super good, but it'd be a gamble. The important thing is definitely enjoying themselves, Yu-kun can't do that if he's broke!"

Kyoutei carefully looked over the magazines, blushing at the thought of a romantic dinner with Yuki and letting out another mild squeak of embarrassment. Oh god, them being all alone together? Ahhh, it was just too hard to imagine! She listened to Meido and Kouin chatter on about it, blushing harder at the thought of being together forever. Oh god, this was so mortifying...
"Y-Yuki-kun doesn't need to spend a lot of money on me!" she blurted out when Kouin mentioned the place was kind of on the more expensive side, sagging in her chair as she realized she'd made a fool of herself[. What would Yuki say right now?!
Well, okay, he'd probably tell her she was cute, but that wasn't the point!
"Maybe we should look for something a little cheaper..."

Kouin listened to Meido, and nodded as if she was thinking very hard about this whole affair. "And Yuki-nii had to get his motorcycle repaired two weeks ago." She frowned, wondering what could be done about this. A small grin crossed her lips as she came to realize something, however.
"Kufufufu~ I think I have a plan, Mei-nee, Kyou-nee!" She declared, lightly slapping her own chest for emphasis. "We're going to get them into a super romantic restaurant, just leave everything to me and mama!" She assured them. Past history had shown those two working together could make miracles happen, but for some reason, nobody really wanted to talk about how it happened afterward.
"Aww, Kyou-nee!" Kouin grinned when Kyoutei mentioned that Yuki didn't need to spend a lot on her. "That's so sweet! See, isn't she just the cutest, Mei-nee~" She asked, her blue eyes bright. She was just perfect for Yuki-nii!

Seeing these events unfold, the blonde girl couldn't help but think one thing.
This was absolutely and positively a thousand romance cliches thrown together; this delinquent/potential supervillain and shy, caring girl romance that even had a pushy matchmaker duo trying to make it absolutely perfect. (But Meido couldn't help but totally approve of the cliches in their entirety!) Really, it was a miracle that shoujo bubbles weren't floating around them and sparkling like in a manga.
On second thought, throw in a few inevitable wacky hijinks and it might as have been a manga.
"So adorable!" Meido agreed bombastically, clapping her hands together and beaming at the younger girl. Yuki found the perfect girl, clearly, and now it was just up to them--or, more specifically, up to Kouin--to make sure they started on the perfect note. Turning her attention to the brunette, she encouraged her on, "Kouin can handle the arrangements, so just have fun, okay? Everyone will be cheering on the sidelines for you!"

"No, really guys, there's no need for--" the brunette began to protest, blushing. Faintly, she realized in mild horror that this plan was slowly but surely coming to fruition--and that there was really nothing she could do to stop it. The thought was nice, but it was so embarrassing! She wasn't sure if she could handle such a romantic setting for a first date...
Still, Kouin was going to be there, wasn't she? And she really did like Kouin's mother as well--
It still seems like a lot... she thought, mortified at the mere scenario. Nervously, she fidgeted, biting her lip as Meido encouraged her. "I-it sounds nice..." she said tentatively, "B-but really, it seems like a little much, maybe?" she added meekly, not quite sure if her protests were getting through. For all she knew, the other two were probably planning out potential outfits for her...

It didn't really seem like Kouin planned to listen to Kyoutei's protests anymore.
This was the perfect plan! That was the only thought swirling around in her mind at the moment. With this, their relationship would be cemented, and everything would go perfectly! And boy, did Yuki ever need a relationship to work out perfectly. He didn't have very good luck with women, no thanks to Shinkirou.
"That's right, Kyou-nee!" Kouin grinned widely, reaching out to grasp the girl's hands. Her eyes were practically sparkling with excitement at the thought of the whole thing. Playing matchmaker! It was like a dream come true for her. "We'll make sure that everything goes perfectly! Everybody's rooting for you two!"
Well, probably not Shinkirou. But then again, he was kind of an asshole.

"Exact--" Meido began to chirp as if there weren't too many times one could emphasize such a thing, but she cut herself off midway through the word.
'Ding, ding, magiiiiiiiiiical Po~n,' sounded chimingly from the general vicinity of her bosom, and the blond startled before glancing down. A puzzled expression crossed her face as out came her phone by a cute MGPP charm, and she stared for a moment befor yelping.
"Uwaaaaah! But Mei-nee needs to root for you from elsewhere, okay? I have to be at the dojo, but! Go, with a burning heart, Kyou-chan, and you'll never fail!"
The girl picked up her coffee, and in one great swig downed the entire beverage. Setting the empty cup back down with a bouncy bow, she hopped back away from the table and tore off like her heels were on fire. Through the large glass window, if one was still watching, she could bracing her fingers against the edge of an outdoor table in one fluid movement that sent her vaulting past a group of schoolgirls not much older than herself--much to the general bogglement of those around her.

Kyoutei let out a small squeak at Kouin grasping her hands, but offered something vaguely like a smile. The girl blinked as Meido's cellphone went off from a very...interesting place and averted her eyes for a moment as the girl got out her phone. She nodded as Meido made her exit, watching in surprise as the blonde girl downed all her coffee in one go. She managed to get out "It was really n-nice to meet you, Meido-san!" just as the girl took off.
Turning back to Kouin, she gave her friend a sheepish smile. Kouin and Meido's enthusiasm had certainly rubbed off on her--the girl's lavender eyes were alight with a cheerful gleam. "So, Kouin-chan!" she said, still smiling, "What kind of plan do you have in mind?"
If Kouin was planning something, Kyoutei certainly didn't want to be left out of the loop.

"Aw, you're going already, Mei-nee?" Kouin looked disappointed, frowning deeply. She had hoped she could have hung around for a bit longer. "I guess I'll see you in school then, Mei-nee! Have fun over at the dojo!" Letting go of Kyoutei's hands, she waved goodbye to her friend, seemingly oblivious to the way she had chosen to leave the restaurant.
Turning back to Kyoutei, she continued to grin. "Oh, you'll see, you'll see." She promised her, starting to grab her magazines and putting them away. "I have to go work out some things with mama now, but I promise to call you with all the details later."
"And don't worry, everything will be just fine! I promise."
