While man's name didn't ring a bell, nor did Kani's name, Kaede had to admit, she'd heard of Emiko. She saw that name pretty high on the list of test scores, and she'd heard a few other students or teachers mention her name once or twice. Kaede'd never bothered to listen in. Though if I'd known I'd meet her, I'd probably have attempted, at least once. "Emi-chan?" she asked, just to be sure. It seemed a bit odd for someone to want strangers to use such an...intimate...term, but...
Maybe that's just how she is. Kaede briefly wondered if she should have the other two call her by her own first name, before deciding she couldn't just tell them to, or ask. That was their choice, she didn't care either way at this point in time. Before anything more could be said, Kaede suddenly felt her head-ache double in pain, and a strange feeling come over her. No...not strange, she knew this. She'd felt the same thing towards her parents. She felt...angry. Intensely angry, and felt like she wanted to pummel something to the ground until it couldn't be recognized. But why, and towards who? She didn't seem to be directing it towards the other two girls, no, she actually kind of liked them, but--
Kani leaned towards her, and as she spoke Kaede found herself looking the same direction she and now Emiko were. The anger grew. Stupid, pretentious, bi-- "I hate her," Kaede whispered, keeping voice monotonous, but clenching her hands into fists. "I really, really do..." She tried to take her mind off of it by repeated the others' names herself ("You're Emiko--Emi-chan. And you're Gekkani." but it didn't work. Kaede frowned slightly, a hand going to her throbbing head. "Uhm...would you two excuse me a moment?"
She didn't quite know what she was doing, but...Kaede soon found herself moving towards the Jupiter statue, eyes trained on the girl sitting at it. "Hey...what are you doing?" she said coldly.

Sakura turned her attention to the girl from moments ago, who seemed to have taken a more than passing interest in herself.
'Great, last thing I need after last night is a fight in the Memorial.' Sakura thought. Part of her felt it might be a fitting way to pay respects to Jupiter though, having a battle for her to watch.
'Some street fight wouldn't be worth it though.' Sakura thought.
Sakura turned to face the girl while trying to shake the feeling that something was about to go terribly wrong, but her pride kept her planted for the time being.
"What does it look like I'm doing. I'm looking at the statue of Jupiter and admiring the power she possessed. It's what most people do at a memorial, other than harrass people at a whim, it would seem." Sakura answered, standing in a loose casual stance that she had developed over the years. Outwardly it looked as though she wasn't paying complete attention (which also gave the look sometimes that she felt whoever she was talking too wasn't really worth paying attention to anyhow), but the stance allowed her to quickly evade attacks from various directions in case her 'opponent' tried to start something. It had saved her many times, so she naturally used it when things didn't feel on the up and up.
"Your friends are over there, so I suggest you back off and enjoy time with them. We both have better places to be I'm sure..." Sakura offered so the girl could leave without losing face and Sakura would head on to the arcade, or perhaps food. Sakura stopped wondering and returned attention to the potential confrontation.

Gekkani sneered listening to the conversation between the two. Raising one brow and furrowing the other as to show her contempt with the situation. Oh, just hit her already, Kaede! She thought, knowing had it been her that snide remark would have been enough to throw her into a tizzy – especially with the ominous feeling of the Memorial still in the back of her mind. She shifted her weight over sides of her hips, folding her arms just below her bosom. Kani tilted her face a bit in towards Emiko, ushering the tip of her nose in the direction of the two, to aim the attention to them. “I’m just waiting to see who throws the first punch. My money’s on the uh… ruffian” She did not recall the Japanese term for ‘ruffian’ so spoke it in English. She doubted Emiko knew what she meant, “ You know… Well, the one who isn’t Kaede!” She chortled a bit, realizing she could have just said that first, rather than flounder in her not so perfect Japanese.

Shizuko had been on the wander with her camera bag for some hours now, and whilst she had plans to visit Ueno Park later on she had just let herself be drawn to places for the morning. And that was how she found herself crouched with her camera in her hand attempting to get a nice clear shot of the memorial in the sunlight, and hoping that the shadows would improve just a little. Its not exactly inspiring, is it? Perhaps I need some closer shots... she thought, slipping the large lens off her camera and nestling everything back in her bag before approaching the statues.
Lowering her eyes momentarily in deference to the sacrifice immortalised in the memorial, she spotted a group of young girls gathered near the statue of Sailor Jupiter. This isn't exactly a common hangout. What on earth are they doing here? I suppose its none of my business she thought to herself, clearly knowing she was going to ignore the last part. Pulling out her camera again she focused on the statue of Saturn that stood in front of her, and in the bright sunlight its alabaster toned skin almost seemed to glow.
"Perfect!" she said to herself, snapping away. When she pulled her eye away from the camera to locate her next shot she noticed two of the girls almost squaring up to each other - in front of the Jupiter statue no less. "How appropriate," she muttered, slipping slightly closer to the group and continuing to take advantage of the good light on the monument.

"Hn?" Kaede tilted her head slightly, wrapping one arm around herself to let her hand lightly grip her other arm. She stared at the other girl as if nothing was wrong. Like she wasn't feeling like there was a miniature war going on inside her head. "I wasn't harassing you..." she stated in the calmest, most emotionless voice she could muster. Kaede had found out the hard way, back in junior high school, that when one talked like that it tended to unnerve people. She wasn't sure exactly if this girl was the type to lose her nerve, but it was worth a try.
And she certainly wasn't going to lash out and attack the girl, just because she wanted to so much right now. "And, no, actually...I really don't have anywhere better to be. I...I think I like it here." Kaede moved around and, taking a leaf from Emiko's book, sat down at the base of the Jupiter statue. She felt like she was in the electric chair, but she remained calm, even leaning back a bit and letting a small smile show.
"Come on...Can't two girls sit at the memorial together? I never actually did anything to harm you...I suppose you're the paranoid type, aren't you?" Kaede couldn't help saying. Once she got started, the rest just seemed to tumble out. This was so unlike her, part of her actually felt like she wanted a fight...

Sakura absently noted the new girl walk into the memorial and take pictures of one of the statues, but pushed it out of mind almost immediately. This girl in front of her was triggering every combat warning Sakura had developed, but nothing about the girl appeared threatening. Either she was really good at hiding her potential, or Sakura actually was becoming the paranoid type.
"Paranoid? I wouldn't say that. Trouble tends to find me though, so a certain ammount of caution is always best." Sakura didn't sit, but did ease up her vocal menace.
Part of her was screaming to get away, and that this girl was dangerous, but Sakura refused to give in to that, yet.
"So, what's your name?" Sakura asked. Perhaps with a name she might know who this girl is, though she didn't looked like the type that hung around the same places as Sakura, and she definitely wasn't from the orphanage.

As she spotted one of the two girls sitting down on the base of the Jupiter statue inspiration lept in to her brain. She hustled over and brandished her camera, smiling broadly. "Excuse me, I know this sounds a little odd but would it be at all possible to photograph the two of you and the statue behind you? I'm a photographer, obviously, and this shot would be perfect to use in my latest collection!"

Chuckling softly, Emiko watched as Kaede approached the other girl. With a calm, slightly curious expression, the young woman looked to Gekkani. "I agree. I think the one to make the first move would be the other one." Emiko had to admit, it would be a little entertaining to see a little bit of a fight break out while at the Memorial. How funny it would be to see something in the news mentioning the discovery of blood at the memorial. Mentally she made note of this idea, to bring it up later while she sat in thought at home.
Eying the photographer, as she guessed from the camera in hand, Emiko sighed and rolled those emerald eyes. "It appears that some people still find these statues beautiful and elegant. I'm not exactly sure why." Emiko dramatically sighed before moving aside the cuff of her jacket, peaking at the simple silver watch face on her wrist. It was just about time for her to head back towards home. "Hm, If there's going to be a fight, it should happen relatively soon. I've got to head back home." With a mumble and a yawn, the young woman sorted out her jacket sleeve and returned her small hands to the depths of her jacket pockets.

Gekkani stole a glance at Emiko’s watch and nodded quickly. “Agreed. I should’ve been home ages ago.” She watched the brown-haired photographer with a grin gracing her lips for a moment, before shouting out to her,
“Hey! Camera-Girl!” Gekkani waved her arms up over her head, once again making herself more of a spectacle than she had originally planned. “When you’re done fawning over those rocks come here!” She had been looking for a photographer for the shop, and simply couldn’t be asked to contact any of the adverts she had seen, figuring they’d be the ‘strictly business’ type that annoyed her so much about Japan.
Just to feel the rush again, Gekkani stepped towards the Queen’s homage, staring eye to eye with it as it loomed over her. Placing a small hand on the crisp, and somehow cool, surface, the swell came. Like a fine orchestrated piece, Gekkani let her hand remain beyond the point in which she would have removed it. Her mind going into a tizzy of anger and confusion; she bit her lower lip and closed her eyes. It was a sort of high she couldn’t get smoking, or drinking. For a brief second, one powerful thought over took her mind, This world should be yours… Kani nodded, opening her eyes and whispering “I know.”

"What?" Kaede turned around, staring in slight confusion at the newcomer with the camera. Now, seeing someone at the Memorial wasn't so unusual, but the fact that someone wanted her picture... Well, mine and the other...thing's. She turned towards Emiko and Kani with a raised eyebrow, shrugging her shoulders slightly as if to say "I have no idea how this happened."
She still wanted to beat the first girl senseless, but she couldn't now...Not with another witness around. Damn it... She sighed quietly. "I suppose...Just one." She leaned back against the Jupiter statue, crossing one leg over the other and staring blankly ahead. After another moment, she murmured one more thing. "Hayashi Kaede, if you must know." Not like we'll be seeing each other again, anyway.
Kaede felt some disappointment at the turn of events...She couldn't do anything to the first girl and now she probably looked foolish in front of her--friends? Acquaintances?

Sakura also turned in confusion as the camera girl asked to take their picture.
'This is new. Usually I have to avoid cameras.' Sakura thought as she listened to the other girl, Kaede answer.
"Midori Sakura." Sakura offered her own name as well. Normally she wouldn't, but she almost hoped this girl found her again. If for no other reason than to see why her own warning lights were blaring.
"Sure, always down for pictures." Sakura said, grinning with a cocky grin to the photogrpher and struck a pose next to the statue opposite Kaede. Crossing her arms, she stood tall, chin high and projecting her fighter aura as best as possible, with her arrogant grin showing in full, providing nearly a complete opposite to the girl next to her.

"I'm Yuukino Shizuko," she said with a slight bow. " Its so nice to meet you. Thank you so much for letting me photograph you two. If you could just stand how you were before, that would be perfect! The slight aggression is a perfect for who you're stood in front of." This was a perfect shot, and the two girls had that slight edge of agression that mirrored the statue behind them. It was then that she noticed one of the girls in the other group had shouted her over. It was the one with the amazing flowing white hair, and another thought sprang to mind. "I'll be right over Miss! This shouldn't take too long."
Today, it seemed, was going to be a productive day.

Stand how they were before? Well, technically Kaede had been sitting, but alright. She didn't really have to do anything anyway...Just look back at the girl and--
Kaede turned her head to look at Sakura, and suddenly winced again as a jolt of pain shot through her head. The urge to attack her grew stronger, making Kaede's body tremble slightly, grit her teeth behind her closed lips. Damn, those pictures better hurry up...Something told her that she really might snap if she had to be in this awful girl's presence for much longer, and fighting in the Memorial--even a memorial for losers and in front of the one who had a good reputation--seemed to be a major no-no.
"Please hurry," she mumbled, just barely containing another wince. Realizing that there was really no good excuse for hating this girl, and wanting to either leave her or beat the snot out of her, Kaede followed up with "I've a head-ache...Need to go soon."
Going to go...not going to take anything for it. Kaede shrugged her shoulders as she looked back towards Emiko and Kani, as if to say What can you do?

Sakura nodded to the photographer and returned to her defensive position she had earlier. Luckily this was the pose the girl wanted, as looking on Kaede again, Sakura felt being in a defensive stance would be best.
"I agree. Take the picture then I have to get going." Sakura added, not hiding in the least that she didn't trust this Kaede girl.
'How can this girl be so threatening, yet not appear threatening at all?' Sakura kept thinking, trying to figure out why her instincts and what she were seeing were at such odds with each other.

"Oh, I'm sorry!" Shizuko exclaimed, quickly dropping in to a crouch and snapping a couple of photos, before shifting position slightly and snapping another couple of photographs. "There you go, all done. Thank you again Midori-san, Hayashi-san, for letting me photograph you. Here's my business card, if you call me in about a week you can have prints for free if you want." She handed them each a small white business card with her name, address, phone number and email on and bowed again to each before jogging over to the white haired girl who had shouted her over before.
"Hi, I'm Yuukino Shizuko. You wanted something Miss?" It was then that she noticed they were standing below the statue of the Queen, and as she looked up Shizuko saw the same regal face on the girl in front of her that was on the Queen above them. "Has anyone ever told you your face is very similar to the Queen Serenity? You've got very striking features."
