"You really think I look alright? Inbino-san." Himeko exclaimed, as she looked up from her mirror. A slight blush on her face. Himeko couldn't believe that a cute boy was complementing her, despite her appearance. She was so bashful about the situation, she didn't even hear Kaede's advice. She glanced into her compact one more time. Deciding to simply wiping away the smudges, before returning everything into her bag.
She couldn't help but smile, when Shinkirou mentioned he wanted to come to her party. She started smiling to herself, if she invited collage students to her party, no doubt people would be talking about it for months. I'll become even more popular. She gushed to herself. However she didn't want to seem so desperate. "It's just a little Halloween party. I'm surprised you would actually like to go. " Himeko said, trying her best to act cool. "Though, I would really love to have come. You should bring some of your friends. The more, the merrier right." She quickly added.
She then turned to Kaede. She had been so busy talking to Shirkirou, she had forgotten the blue haried girl. "Of course, you invited too Hayashi-san." She told her, before she looked at the weather again. "I wouldn't want to go back outside myself. Especially, since I just finally got out of there. You would have to be crazy to go into that storm, unless you had no choice."
"The weather, I honestly never had though of that." Himeko exclaimed, once she had heard Kaede's question. "I always, figured that I wouldn't have to worry about that. Since I was planning on hosting the party inside. We just started decorating the ballroom. Maybe I should ask Kiyoshi-nii?"
She paused a second before continuing. "You don't think it will rain on Halloween do you?"

"I'm invited, too...?" Kaede asked, a little surprised. She wasn't actually expecting that...She'd just met this girl, and one didn't normally invite random strangers to a party. But then again...Hisakino-san didn't quite seem to be like others. Kaede had no idea why. She allowed a small smile to show on her face. "Well, then...I'd be happy to come, Hisakino-san," she said with a slight nod. "Just leave me your address later, and I'll stop by." Only matter was a costume. Ah, well, Kaede could just put stripes on her face or something, say that was her costume. She wasn't sure she could come up with much at such short notice.
Another bolt of lightning brought her attention back to the storm, and she pondered Himeko's question on whether it would rain on Halloween. "Well, hosting the party indoors is a good idea," she said slowly, raising her voice a bit to be heard over the storm. "As to if it will storm for tomorrow, I doubt it would be this bad. Storms usually go away after a day, right? Excluding the much more serious ones, of course; some could go on for weeks. She didn't think this storm would last that long, though. "I will admit, however. if it storms on Halloween, it will be a great addition to the Halloween mood. Especially if there was a power outage."
She suddenly stopped, feeling embarrassed, and cast a sideways look at Himeko. "Ah...forgive me, Hisakino-san. I'm talking about things that could go wrong for the party, when it's clearly the last thing that should happen. I'm sure it will go by without a hitch, believe me."

"Ah, it sounds like it'll be fun. I'll be sure to drop by." Shinkirou promised with a smile, inwardly amused at how easily the blonde had blushed. "I'll see if any of my friends would like to come too." he added. He was about to say more when he heard another bolt of lightning, looking back up towards the sky. His brows furrowed in concern for just a moment--only to vanish as curiousity took over once more. Hmm.
"I agree with Hayashi-san. I'm sure your party will be great, whether it rains or not." he paused thoughtfully for a moment, casting Kaede a look as if to say he caught on to her embarrassment, then grinned. They seemed interesting enough--and it was worth a shot, anyways. "Say! We all seem to get along--why not trade phone numbers? I certainly wouldn't mind hanging out with either of you again." Truthfully, establishing a good friendship with Himeko was his priority, as it seemed she could be useful, but he couldn't deny Kaede intriguing him either.
"Ah, unless you don't want to, that's fine." he lied, "I don't mind either way."

"Trade phone numbers?" Kaede echoed, frowning slightly as she stared at Shinkirou. She sat there, thinking it over to herself. She couldn't remember the last time someone had wanted her number. Or held a decent conversation with her, for that matter. To tell the truth, Kaede wasn't used to it...but it did feel kind of nice. And what ws that old saying again? "Strength in numbers?" After a few more seconds, she looked up, glancing at Shinkirou and Himeko.
Suddenly, she let a small smile show on her face. "That's a good idea, Inbino-san," she finally said. She pulled out her cellphone, activating "Add Contact" feature. "So...what's yours?" she asked, after rattling off her own number. Another flash of lightning appeared, and Kaede looked up. Wonder what caused this? Out loud, she said, "I still stand by what I said before, Hisakino-san...The storm will probably end soon (a pity), but the lightning would provide a good mood. It would be like in old horror films..."

"That so awesome I'm glad you both can come. I can't wait to see your costumes." Himeko replied happily, when both Kaede and Shinkirou had accepted her offers. Himeko shot a small glance at Inbino, before adding. "Hopefully, with a few friends."
Though she was absolutly sure she would see Inbino on Halloween, Kaede seemed a little unsure about the party. "What's wrong, Hayashi-san. You're acting like you've never been to a party before?" Himeko said cheerfully, as she listened to Kaede ramble about things that might go wrong at her party. Hayashi-san isn't a very optimistic individual. Hopefully, she liven up a little at my party, Himeko though as she continued to listen to Kaede's rant. "It's okay Hayashi-san, I know you mean well. Besides if we have a blackout, we could always use the back up generator. It still works. I think."
Just then a loud rush of thunder was heard, making the girl jump out of her seat. Himeko giggled nervously before sitting back down. That's just great Himeko, you just made a big fool of yourself. She though as she continued to listen to the conversation. "Well I'm glad that you think my party will be great to Inbino-san. I don't want months of planning to go down the drain." She said, before the boy mentioned the three of them exchanging numbers. "Well that sounds like a good idea. I think it would be better than giving you my address, Hayashi-san. That way if either of you get lost, I'm simply a phone call away."
Himeko reached into her bag once more, this time pulling about her sparkly cell phone. Inputting Kaede's number, as the girl recited it to both of them. Himeko, then proceeded to give out hers as well. The girl couldn't help but smile as the blue haired girl mentioned the storm again. "I'm sure you're right Hayashi-san, I shouldn't worry about the storm. Besides, that lighting idea sounds pretty awesome. " Himeko told her.

So they'd both accepted his offer. Awesome! Of course, he knew they would--he was just that good, no matter how much Yuki growled at him otherwise. He kept his polite smile in place, but inwardly celebrated his victory. After Kaede and Himeko had rattled off their numbers, Shinkirou had done the same, swiftly inputting both numbers--he had experience collecting girl's phone numbers.
Of course, he hoped they didn't mind that they had to be saved as Kaede #4 and Himeko #3. But they'd never have to know~
The lightning seemed to have stopped for now, although the rain kept pouring. The young man found himself a little disappointed at his lack of a light show, but was careful to not show it. Instead, he remarked, "The lightning stopped. Odd..."

Kaede entered in the other two's phone numbers, smiling slightly. She had others' phone numbers...that felt pretty nice. "...o...u..." she mumbled to herself, saving the last one. While Shinkirou entered their numbers, Kaede looked at Himeko to finally answer her question. "I went to a few birthday parties when I was a kid," she answered. "That was all...Haven't been to one in years."
She looked up when Shinkirou suddenly commented on the lightning. "It really stopped?" she muttered, disappointed. A long look at the sky confirmed it--the lightning had stopped. Kaede sighed sadly, pocketing her phone. "I guess then most of the excitement's over, then?"
She looked around, noting the still-heavy rain. Well, if she left now, she'd get wet...and she really had nowhere to go. She could stick around a bit longer. "So, then..." she said, in attempt to keep the conversation going. "What are your costumes going to be?"

Himeko, was rather shocked when she heard Kaede's answer. I knew she probably hadn't been to party in a while. But I hadn't expected since she was in grade school. "Well, don't worry Hayashi-san. My parties are really fun. I'll sure you'll fit right in."
"I'm rather glad it stopped." Himeko admitted to Inbino, once she had noticed the lighting. Hopefully if this contiued she would be able to get her costume fitted today, well she could if the rain would finally stop falling. She didn't want to go out in that heavy rain just yet. "Though if the weather hadn't gotten so bad, I would have never meet you two." She added.
Himeko smiled, when Kaede mentioned a very special word, costumes. Well who could blame her, the girtl had planned her costume for months. She was really excited about where her dress on Halloween. "Well, it wouldn't be fun if I just told you." Himeko exclaimed. "I'll give you each a chance to guess, before I'll reveal it to you okay?"

As the subject turned over to costumes, Shinkirou thought it over. To be honest, he hadn't exactly planned on a costume--hell, before Himeko had shown up, he didn't exactly have plans to go to the party at all. Ahhh, but what would girls find sexy? He could always use that to score a date or two...
At Himeko's sudden exclamation and the prospect of a guessing game, the young man rose an eyebrow. "Ahh, but you're such a lovely girl, Hisakino-san! How could I ever limit my guess to one costume?" he said grandly, fully intending to make her blush again, "And regardless of what it is, I'm sure it will be beautiful on you." he added with a smile.

Kaede raised her eyebrows slightly at Shinkirou's remark. Not very subtle, is he? she thought to herself. Part of her was starting to regret giving out her number... But he was right; they had seemed to get along. And Kaede was really glad to have someone ask for her number, even if she didn't show it that well...
Rather than call him out on anything, however, Kaede focused her attention to Himeko, looking at her intently. Hm...She was a pretty girl, and earlier, she had been worrying about her make-up and new dress...Cheerleader? A fairy? No, that's a bit too juvenile, perhaps. Princess? Empress, better yet? Something pretty, no doubt. "Well....Hisakino-san, I'm going to guess..." she said out loud, looking at her up and down again. "Will you be...a queen?"
Immediately after, Kaede's mind jumped to the thought of her own costume. It wouldn't be fancy at all, not that she'd want it to be. But still...Maybe she too was being swept up in the excitement over a party. Himeko's enthusiasm must be contagious, she realized as she began twirling her ring around her finger again.

Himeko felt the blood rushing to her face when she heard Inbino's answer. The plan to have both of them guess had been forgotten. The girl quickly turned her face away from him and decided to stare at the downpour. Until she was sure her face had returned to it normal color. "Do you really think I'm lovely." She exclaimed at the boys' comment, not sure of what to say to him yet.
She continued staring at the boy, until Kaede gave her answer. Reminding her of the guessing game she had started. "That was so close Hayashi-san." Himeko told her, she couldn't believe that the girl had almost guessed her costume. "You must be really smart."
The blond smiled, before deciding it was time to give them her answer. "Well, I'm not going to be a Queen, but I'll still be dressed up as a member of royalty." Himeko told them, pausing for a bit. Before, finally decided to give them her answer. "I'm going to be a princess."

Whatever flirting Shinkirou was planning on replying with was cut short by a sudden burst of...something, he wasn't sure what. Intuition made him look up at where the lightning had been striking before, just in time to see (and hear) a sudden, particularly cacophonous bolt of lightning striking. "Holy shit--" he gasped, his eyes growing wide as his words were lost in the striking of the bolt. Around their table, people screamed and pointed up at the sky, some others fleeing.
The flash that came from it lit up the sky, and gave him an odd sense of foreboding--but there was no other lightning beyond that. Once everyone around their table settled down, the young man finally spoke, his eyes still rooted to where the lightning had been. "Ahaha, that was some hell of a strike, huh?" he asked, looking just a tad worried. He shook it free, turning to look at both of the girls with a small smile. "Also, Hisakino-san, I think you'll make a good princess." he added with a tiny wink.

"Ah-heh...I'm not that smart," Kaede chuckled a little, tenting her fingers in front of her chin as she placed her elbows on the table. A smart person would have ducked inside to avoid the storm...Kaede vaguely wondered if the fact she was outside (under a cover, but still) was proof of some stupidity in her. She glanced at Himeko again, giving her an appraising look. "A princess suits you, Hisakino-san...." I can see that already.
From the corner of her eye, Kaede caught sight of Shinkirou suddenly turning around. She glanced his way to see what he was looking at-- And more lightning flashed, more powerful and even louder than any of the others before it. Kaede stood up suddenly, eyes widening as she watched it, heard the resulting screams. She kept staring, a smile working its way across her face, even after the lightning stopped completely.
She heard Shinkirou comment on it, calling it "one hell of a strike." In response, she merely nodded, her eyes shining as she began to toy with her ring again. "That was....amazing....Brilliant..." she whispered hoarsely, still staring as if transfixed.

Himeko couldn't help but smile when she heard that both Inbino and Kaede liked her costume. Though she still was a little put off that they hadn't bothered to tell her there own costumes. She was about to reply to Kaede, when something else caught her eye.
She couldn't help but gasp when she saw the newest lighting flash, Himeko was so freaked out, she almost jumped out of her chair again. Like a few other spectators were doing. Luckily she stopped herself in time. Well almost, Himeko found herself covering her ears in an attempt to muffle some of the sound. She uncovered her ears in time, just to heard the other two to comment on the recent event. "Well..." Himeko began, not sure of what to say. "I just really wish this storm is over. I don't want it to rain like this for a very long time."
"Really Hayashi-san you shouldn't belittle yourself like that. It was a really good guess." Himeko added, attempting to change the conversation. to what they had been talking about previously. "I'm glad you both like my costume. It does suit me perfectly, I can't see me dressed up as anything else."
